Seoyoon continued walking after talking to Hajoon. Even though it was only a short talk, she was happy he even stopped to look at her. After the huge misunderstanding 3 years ago, he left without even letting her explain. She didn't do anything wrong, but he believed she did, so that was enough for her to feel bad. He was her only friend, now she's alone. Seoyoon was happy that he had found a friend. He refused to even here her name after what happened, but now he was starting to be a bit nicer. And the word "nicer" is used very lightly, he still hated her with his entire soul and more. She missed him, but doubted he felt the same.

She often thought about if things would be different if he let her explain that night. Maybe he would've understood what she did was an accident. If she was completely honest, she didn't know why Hajoon got so mad. There was no point to think about it so much, since he was most likely never going to look at her like he used to again. She chose to ignore the thoughts that never left her mind and made her way to her first class.

Both Hajoon and Seoyoon were unaware to how a year that seemed like every other one before would change their tarnished relationship in strange ways.

Once classes finished, students flooded the halls and soon enough, crowds were outside too. Everyone began sorting into their friend groups, and soon enough there was an even divided between everyone. Even though Seoyoon didn't have a friend to go to, she did have a brother, Choi Seojun. He was in year 3, and was going to graduate as soon as the year ended. She walked through the herds of students, trying her best to find her brother. He was taller than the rest, so it wasn't hard to locate him. She soon spotted his jet black hair above everyone else and rushed towards him.

"Seojun!" She shouted his name to get his attention. He turned around, knowing that Seoyoon would be looking for him so the familiar voice had to be hers. "Seoyoon! Stay there, I'll come to you." He walked quickly, talking big steps. Seojun reached her in no more than 20 seconds. "Hey, Seoyoon. How was your day?" He asked, while shuffling through his bag. "It was pretty standard." He chuckled at her response that was far too familiar. "I thought so." She looked at his with curiosity in her eyes before speaking. "What are you looking for?" He pulled a small loaf of bread, perfect for one person, wrapped in clear plastic packaging. "This. I got this for you during lunch, I couldn't find you so I saved it to give it to you now." She smiled, grateful to have such a caring older brother. "Thank you!" She thanked him cheerfully before reaching for the bread. "Let's go find somewhere to sit." There were benches on the outside of the school. As quickly as students had filled the area, they left too. Only a few groups of people stayed behind.

Seoyoon and Seojun were talking about their days and plans for what to do now, too involved in the conversation to notice that someone was walking towards them. They continued walking forward, and the person kept walking towards them from the side. Soon they met. "Seoyoon! Be careful!" Seojun grabbed Seoyoon's arm while the person looked up from their phone to face. It was Hajoon. Seojun glared at him for almost bumping into his sister, but Hajoon merely scoffed sarcastically before he kept walking.

"Seoyoon-ah, you really need to stay away from that guy. He's really not a good person." Seojun told her, but Seoyoon was still looking at Hajoon's fading figure getting farther and farther from them. The school was elevated so there were four flights of stairs from the front door down to the normal level to get on the sidewalk and leave. Hajoon was walking down the second one while they were still at the top. She could make it. If she went after him now, she could reach him before he left the school gate. Seoyoon had no idea where he went after that, so she'd get lost. But if she went after him now, she could reach him. Without thinking, she began chasing after him. "Seoyoon! Where are you going? Come back here right now!" Seojun shouted but she ignored his pleas for her to turn around.

She got to Hajoon right as he was about to reach the school gate. Seoyoon grabbed his arm, turning him around. He was shocked, not expecting her to do that. "Hwang.. Hajoon..." As much as she didn't want to cry, there were already tears streaming down her face. She hugged his tall figure, missing her friend so much.

"Choi Seoyoon... Why..?"
