"Yeah," Khalil chuckled, rubbing her lower back.
"No, because why didn't anybody else say anything about it? 'Cause Raffiel and Zyire were in that van too. I get why Alex didn't know but—"
"Tamera, chill out. It's fine, I just don't celebrate it. They told me what was up but I don't really care for my birthday. It is what it is,"
"But Khalil they're important," Tamera pouted.
"It'll seem like you're worried about your birthday, the way you talking." He said and she chuckled, getting on his lap, while he sat up and put his back on the head board.
"It's just that I love birthdays even if it's not mine. And now you're my boyfriend I'm gonna make sure it's elite,"
"Thank you. I really appreciate it baby," Khalil gave her a kiss and she smiled.
Tamera stared at Khalil, just admiring him. He made her feel safe and secure, never judged her or made her feel things that she didn't want to. She really was happy at the way they communicated.
Now it was this problem interfering with that, which pissed her off to the max.
"Bae," Khalil said, snapping her out of her trance.
"Yes?" She smiled.
"What's wrong? I can see it all over your face sum' that sum' ain't right,"
"Nothing's wrong Khalil," Tamera chuckled, lying.
"How long we been together?"
"It's gonna be a year in October," Tamera said with a grin. She couldn't wait till their first anniversary, she knew it was gonna be amazing.
"Exactly. We've been together for a minute now, plus I knew you before we were even officially together. So what's the problem?"
"It's not—"
"Jakayla," He said with a stern look.
Tamera groaned. "It's too much and it might make or break our relationship. I just got happy and I don't want to fuck with it—"
"Tell me. We have to make communication work. It might be hard and not easy to share, but we can't get anywhere if you don't trust me with some information." He pressed.
Tamera sighed. "Remember that day I came home and I gave you an attitude. Pissed at the world?"
"Yeah, It was a minute ago though. This thing has been going on for a minute. Is that what you're tryna tell me?" Khalil asked and she nodded, causing him to look at her like she was crazy.
