The first breeze of the season flirted with your hair, ducking through your locks and along the back of your neck as you shivered in the cool air, reaching up to pluck another apple from the tree, smiling at the leaves that bounced back against your touch and the ones that fell to the floor, coating it in the shades of autumn below your feet.

Delia stood on the other side, a vision in the black trousers draped over her legs, the cardigan that she pulled tighter across her chest as she stood up on her tiptoes to grasp an apple above her, laughing when it fell to the floor and rolled a few steps away. Her hair fell about her face, loosened from the quick updo she had put it in before stepping outside with you, and it framed her cheeks, hiding the flushed skin being painted by the chill in the air.

She moved around the tree to where you stood, a hand meeting the small of your back as she checked the basket at your feet, rubbing circles into your skin and pressing a quick kiss to your cheek, "I think that's enough, honey. Let's head inside."
You scooped up your basket, and she grasped hers, holding out her other arm for you to walk into as you fell into her step pattern, perfectly in sync like the marching of your heartbeats as you sought out your other sweetheart within the walls of the house.

The door swung open under the influence of her magic and the heat greeted you in a warm embrace, settling below your clothes and pressing against your skin as you crossed the kitchen in Delia's shadow, following her movements always. Mina raised her head to greet you in her familiar silence, smirking above the pages of her book from where she sat at the island, instantly at ease with the two of you back in her presence. Of course the offer had been extended to join the two of you outside, but your sweet Mina stayed always sheltered, this time from the changing weather.

She was kept company by a mug of coffee; purple ceramic to match the purple she was clothed in, and her flaming hair was let loose from its usual styling, cascading down her back in the colours of autumn; cinnamon and fire and all things warm. She had fallen back into the grasp of the book you had recommended that she read, captivated by the lives she could only wish to live, though she was reminded of her own when you reached over the counter to take a swig at her drink, drawing out a whine of indignation as she watched your eyes shimmer in front of her, ignited by the passion that flickered inside you, and that had long been dulled inside her.

"I'm going to wash these apples" Delia broke the trance you were both held in, demanding your attention for a fleeting moment as you looked over to where she ran the water, flickering her fingers underneath the flow and immediately attracting your gaze to the movement. "The two of you go and rest, I'll be there soon." She smiled over her shoulder, the gold thread of her honey locks rippling across her back with the motion. You turned back, placing the mug on the counter with an echo and smiling at the redhead as she cocked an eyebrow at you, snapping her book shut and reaching for the cane that was propped up at her side.

You kicked off your shoes, placing them neatly at the door in order to avoid Delia's scolding, and wiggled your toes in the bunched up material of your winter socks as you slid along the hardwood of the hallway, matching her slow steps as the two of you wandered from the kitchen and further into the house.

Delia busied herself in the kitchen, relishing in the rare weekend where only the three of you occupied the house; the girls had scattered for various activities over the weekend and she was thoroughly enjoying the warm silence that fell about the place. From where she stood she could hear the odd murmur of conversation between you, her two lovers, and the crackling of the candle she had set alight on the table; warm vanilla, a scent you had grown accustomed to in her presence. She sliced the apples with ease, dusting them with cinnamon while she smiled at the sound of your laughter floating from the room down the hall.
