🍙 : I have put this story on hold. And I apologise that I haven't made a proper announcement about it. I will try to make this story work again. Some of you have asked me on twitter about the updates and I'm sorry that I'm only giving it now. Please be patient with me. Any way, here's an update. Enjoy 🥰

☀️🌻

"You have to marry me." Mew didn't even waver. He wasn't asking, he was demanding.

"Don't worry, you'll be having a separate room. And I assure you that no sexual favors will happen. I'm not interested." Not interested?! Gulf felt offended on so many levels. First, Mew acts like marriage is a walk in the park. Second, he's assuming Gulf was easy. That he'd bite on anything out of desperation. And lastly, he made Gulf feel unattractive. Even though Mew didn't actually specify if he wasn't interested in men or Gulf alone.

"Are you crazy?! Do you even like men?!" Things were getting out of hand. Gulf has never been in a relationship. He hasn't even explored his own sexuality yet. He has thought of the possibilities and honestly, he didn't mind. But to be forced to give a decision right away with no proper conversation, was too much.

"It doesn't matter. So, is that a yes or no?" Gulf wanted to pull Mew's hair to see if it would wake him up from his insanity. He wondered why he was so calm and so decided. True love and fairytale endings were never a concern for Gulf. However, marrying a complete stranger wasn't in his plans either.

"You just can't marry someone you don't know! Let alone entrust your kids with one!"

"There's no law that states it's illegal to marry a stranger for as long as there is consent between two parties. And as for the kids, they will be under my protection where ever I am.

I don't know why you keep resisting. I'm offering you way more than that shitty bar you work for could. If you want to be a slave for someone so much, why don't you do it here? It has better working conditions. I'll give you a high pay, a chance to finish your studies, and a comfortable home too."

A slave? Really now? Gulf was starting to hate his tone but he was still hoping that he doesn't overstep the line again like he did last night.

"You probably had a rough childhood. So which was it? A drunk father? A hateful mother? From what I've heard you were abandoned by your father that's why you were forced to work there. Was he that bad?"

Too much. Gulf's knuckles turned white from clenching his fist too tight. An impending burst of anger was about to land on Mew's handsome face.

"I understand. I get it. Now, you can't change what your horrible father has done but I'm giving you a chance here. Don't be stupid."

That's it. Gulf hits Mew on the left cheek so he could lower his head and pay for his arrogance.

"You don't know shit. Don't you ever speak ill about my family you arrogant son of a bitch. If I will spend the rest of my life with someone like you, I rather not. No matter how fucking rich you are." Mew wiped the blood off his lips but he didn't move any further when Gulf turned his back at him and headed to the door.

"I hope your kids don't follow in your footsteps."

☀️🌻

War's restaurant was the only place Gulf could take solace. Today was supposed to be his day off from the odious bar. A relaxing walk and an order of kaprao was the small rare luxury he should be having at the moment. But instead, he insisted on helping War just so he wouldn't think about the earlier events.

Gulf deals with shitty customers every day that he has gotten numb and impassive towards those unfortunate assholes who weren't thought correct manners. He thought it would remain that way forever. But Mew happened. Maybe it's because his awful attitude didn't match his face or maybe he expected so much more from the father of his biological children. No matter what the reason was, Mew was making him feel more furious than he should be.
