"Phenex..Phenex, its time to get up." A familiar voice spoke softly, it was his mother. She was the kindest woman in the world, she was also so selfless and cared a lot for her family; especially her only son Phenex. He took in a breath, the tart taste had faded from his tongue and he had no remembrance of last night; or so the beast wanted you to think. Phenex opened his eyes, a sliver of sunlight layed upon his chest from his window. The male sighed slightly, he was hearing her again. His mother had passed three years ago, which caused Phenex to change completely. He used to be just like his mother, the kindest soul in the land, so pure but broken. He began his normal routine for school. Starting off by taking a nice warm shower, as he was standing there bare, flashbacks began to play in his head. They were of him and his mother, Aurora. His flashbacks were so real he felt as if he could actually smell her cooking breakfast in the kitchen like she did every morning, after his shower Phenex would go and pick his outfit for the day. After that he'd grab a strawberry poptart and head to his car, his father was barley home how it is, so he didn't see him much in the mornings. Phenex got in his black Camero and turned the key to the ignition, as he did so a loud blast of tunes came through the radio, he turned it down a bit before leaving his home and heading to school. About fifteen minutes later he had already parked, and was now walking to class. "Phenex, sup dude?!" A male voice projected, which cause him to smile and turn towards the voice behind him. "Hey Brandon, nothing much. Did you enjoy the party last night?" Phenex spoke to his best friend, they had been close since kindergarden. They both basically grew up together, Brandon was the only person who understood him as a person and as a brother. You can say Brandon and Phenex trusted each other with absolutely anything. "it was alright, would have been better if you came. Everyone was asking for you, especially Elizabeth." Brandon elbowed Phenex in his side, as they both let out a chuckle. "Got to keep her attention somehow, seems like its working out for me so far." He smiled as he noticed the brunette waiting by the entrance with her blue eyes glued on him, he smiled and looked back at Brandon. "See."

"Hey Phenex, how come you didn't show?" Elizabeth questioned Phenex, he raised a brow to her question. Usually she isn't this blunt with him when he didn't show to something, especially something as little as a sophomore party. "Why so concerned? Miss me or something?" Phenex played it off like it was nothing, and it seemed to give him the reaction he wanted. "I wouldn't go that far." The curly haired female stated, almost coldly. "Ouch, that one hurt Liz." As if. Phenex can't feel, at least not like he used to. "Awe, does someone need a hug?" Elizabeth questioned, making Phenex smile that pearly white smile of his. "Sounds good to me." He stated, as the girl leaned in for their hug so did he. When their ams wrapped around each other Phenex felt something strange rush over, blackness flashed into his mind with a echoing voice. His eyebrows quickly narrowed, as he swiftly pulled away from the girl. "Huh?" Phenex felt as if he was in a daze, maybe even the twilight zone. What did he just hear, was this a memory? He had so many questions, yet had no one to ask the questions too. Elizabeth looked at him with the same confusion, just she had less fear in her eyes than Phenex did. He wasnt sure what to make of what had just happened, nor did he know how to make sense of it to the new girl. "Are you okay Phenex?" Elizabeth's words broke his thought process, he quickly snapped back to respond. "Ugh yeah, I just saw Brandon. Got to run." He stated quickly before leaving the classroom, in search of Brandon.
