Chapter 10

That morning walking to school, you felt the weight of all your feelings just wash away. You didn't have to worry about how Tensa felt about you, because you already knew, even if he had a hard time showing you it. Of course their little uproar just ended up starting a crap ton of rumors, but there wasn't much you could do about that. You couldn't stop the smile on your face when you saw Ichigo. He had a questionable bruise on his cheek. Tensa was seated, that ever aloof expression on his face. The light in his eyes seemed to shine a little brighter when he caught sight of you. With a little wave, you took your seat, grinning at Ichigo.

"I hope you appreciate what I did for you." He grumbled from his seat. You nod.

"Arigatou!"

He just looked away, and Orihime giggled.

Yep, everything was pretty much back to normal.

"Ha! A perfect day, Tensa's all mine, Orihime and Ichigo are finally moving towards a relationship, and I didn't even have to beat the crap out of anybody to achieve it." 

Life was really looking up.

"You look strangely happy, something I should be concerned about?" You shake your head, beaming at Tensa as you eat from your bento. Spending lunch in the class was basically your routine now. Tensa pulled a seat to the side, and you moved your books under the desk so you both could enjoy your meal. Swaying in the chair, the grin stayed planted on your face.

"(Y/N)-san."

"Hai!"

"We're a couple, correct?"

"Yes sir!!"

Tensa stared at your hand on the desk for a few seconds, he lifted his hand, resting it gently over your own. You froze, looking down, then back up at his blue eyes.

"Then it's okay if I touch you like this?"

You nod slowly.

"It's okay."

He leaned in closer, eyelids lowering.

"And it's okay if I...kiss you like this.." He was just a breath away, and you opened your mouth.

"It's o-"

"(Y/N)-chan!!" you jump out of your seat, and Keigo stares awkwardly.

"G-Gomen, I'll come back...never." He bolted so fast. You just sweatdropped.

Tensa just looks at you expectantly.

"Let's kis-"

"THE MOMENTS OVER!!!" He really wasn't good at reading the atmosphere.

One thing you figure is that Tensa would be a working in progress kind of boyfriend, but you had no issue with that. Even though he'd made it seem like he was so bad at it. You guessed it's because he thought you'd want him to change parts of his personality. But he was already perfect to you. You had lunch together, sometimes with Ichigo and your friends, other times it was just you two. Whenever he was on duty at class in the afternoon, you waited back with him. He insisted you really didn't have to, but you knew he was secretly happy you did.

"(Y/N)-san, gomen."

"It's fine, I'm not bored." you chirp from your seat at the desk. Tensa was cleaning the board. With your elbows on the desk and your face in your hand, admiring his frame. He was pretty slender for a guy. His features were so delicate, almost graceful. He gave the presence of an angel. His name made sense.

"Heaven chain."

Tensa turns at your whisper. "(Y/N)-san?"

"O-Oh, sorry I just..I really like your name. Don't mind me, you can get back to work!" you laugh waving your hand around crazily and Tensa smiles.

"I wish she could have met you."

Your hands lower.

"S-She?"

His gaze brightens.

"My mother."

You suddenly feel like crying. Why the hell does he say such sweet things like that.

"Q-Quit being such a great boyfriend you're gonna give me a heart condition!"

Tensa chuckles, dropping the duster as he moves over to you. Reaching out, he pushes a bit of hair away from your face, that glowing smile still on his face. Those hypnotic sapphire eyes striking you in the heart. "I know for a fact she would have loved you just as much as I do."

No way, you definitely heard that. He just said..

"You love me.." There wasn't really a doubt, but him saying it makes it ten times more real.

Tensa looks a bit astonished himself. It's obvious that was a slip. "I-I do.." He looks embarrassed, and you swoon.

You jump right into his arms and he grunts at the sudden impact.

"(Y-Y/N)-san.."

"I love you too Tensa."

It's just as great as the first time you said it to him. He holds you tighter.

"I love you."
