After Kan and Shinra left the office, Mika looked to start training as well...
Following along what Milan had instructed her, there was a room at the far end of the building. "This place really changed in a day." There were more furnishings and vases inside. Mika stopped at a room which seemingly is the one her senpai mentioned. Opening the door, it was not narrow or big for an unused room.
Although the air and atmosphere across this room was a bit calm and relaxing. It felt like a fountain of pure magicules encompassed the room. "So, it's like that huh? I can go all-out testing any kind of magic in here."
Taking a seat in the center there were books of magic manipulation and other related stuff about mana. Mika thought that by absorbing the pure magicules she would recover her mana faster. However, the difference between normal magicules and pure magicules is the capacity it takes to a magician's mana pool. Absorbing this kind of pure magicules present in the room requires high concentration and an original magic that is not akin to the basic elements.
Having an original magic was already apparent for Mika but it was still not hers as she hasn't distinguished what makes original magic and elemental magic different. Pure magicules is superior to normal magicules, yet there are reasons why normal magicules is commonly used. Normal magicules are easily manipulated to use in both elemental and original magic.
On the other hand, pure magicules are more favorable to original magic users as it can be manipulated to suit the fundamentals of one's original magic. That's why even if pure magicules are present, it is still up to the magician to use it correctly. Furthermore, normal magicules has a set of structures that makes it easier to use elemental magic which cannot be find in pure magicules. To Mika who barely know about this kind of things, it will be harder for her to differentiate what kind of magicule she needs to use. Another thing, if a magician fails to absorb a pure magicule correctly, it could dampen the formation of their mana pool, in extreme cases, one of the póntous will be damaged.
"Dammit, why can't I do this? Is there a different way for absorbing pure magicules?" Mika tried to absorb the pure magicules just as she would with normal magicules, which is done subconsciously.
After a few tries, Mika stopped altogether and started looking around the room for clues.
"There are literally only books here, and that hideous thing." When Mika glance at one side of the room, there was a small table with a preserved herbal tea. It looks to be preserved using a spell called, "Cooldown".
Without any other options Mika started reading through one of the books titled, "Mana Manipulation: The Two Kinds of Magicules".
Reading for a while, Mika had begun to realize that what she was doing was extremely reckless and she could have endangered herself by doing it repeatedly.
"I see, that's how it is. Good thing I looked at this then. I might have destroyed my future and my sole goal." Having read enough, Mika once again sat at the middle and begun concentrating. Firstly, on her breathing to let go of unnecessary thoughts. Secondly, she tried feeling the state of the room and everything around it, which lasted for half an hour. Then, she focused her attention on her mana pool and begun releasing small shockwaves to ascertain what happens when she uses this kind of magic, without any way of knowing it, this was her only choice to figure out what's going on. Through trial and error.
Time passed and a few hours quickly go by after she had started focusing on her breathing. Faintly, the 1st year student felt her mana pool started widening and as it changes rapidly, "this strangely formed mana pool was the real one after all," she thought. The normal mana pool she uses was only a fraction of her real one. Even now, it still feels like she had only opened a small part of it. Casting small shockwaves became easier and more powerful as well.
