The weight of being a Student in Tempest
The heavy weight of the place before us brought the crowd to a halt. It was the start of my first year in one of the Royal Family Schools, Tempest. I never thought it would be possible, however it was all because of my knowledge that got me into this school.
'I must say it was not a matter to worry about.'
Redirecting back towards reality there were no opening ceremonies or whatnot. Instead, we were given a handbook consisting of the yearly schedule, rules, and obligations each student is hold account for. There were subtle signs of having the task to open the handbook to fully become a student of the Tempest.
"Waahhh, it's the 2nd son of the Allair Family!"
As every school has someone that stood at the very top it would be them in Tempest, the Allair Family. History states that they are one of the seven royal families that first gained the ability to manipulate the wind element, their bloodline. If someone would excel at this school it would come from the Allair, it is a common occurrence.
Nonchalantly minding the crowd, I steered clear and head for the library. If there is a place where quiet reigns it is the library.
Without noticing I braced myself from who knows what and opened the main door. Countless shelves stacked amongst themselves spread throughout what seems like a mansion of this scale. From history to advanced element manipulation, although there are restricted sections accessible for different ranks given by your hometown or nation to be precise. It assesses your contributions, affiliation, social status, and sometimes title would be given to a few. There would be, "watchers" assessing you lurking in the shadows and once you completed the requirements you are given a chance to move ranks. I suppose it is kind of weird when you are aware that someone is watching your every move although as I have read it seems there is more to it than what the public knows.
There weren't that many students in the library, I think that is a normal thing everywhere. I sat down to an unoccupied table and began analyzing the given handbook.
"Welcome, as you are reading this given handbook, we would like to congratulate you for officially becoming a student at our school, Tempest. As a student of the tempest your first task would be to locate the mark. Once you have located, you must pour as much mana as you can ... to assess your initial rank in this school. Do not waver, the mana poured would be redirected back inside your mana pool. Once you have completed the task, the seal on the next page will naturally open."
It says...I traced the handbook and I lightly chuckled whilst thinking of a fun way to approach this task. I thought that I would try pouring a bit of mana to every part of the handbook. I readied myself and then at the word tempest something finally began to change, it continued sucking out the remaining mana inside my mana pool. The word tempest suddenly illuminated and grew bigger in size, I directed all my mana towards it as the words began being pulled by the word tempest, the dots placed weirdly in the letter is unexpectedly not being pulled in. I used a light spell showing hints of words forming before it starts to be pulled towards tempest. "Pouring mana is not limited to one's own." Without figuring out what it meant the words were already reeled in.
"Pouring mana is not limited to one's own... one's own...?" Like a spark it hit me. I opened my bag and cheekily smirk that I brought along a ton of mana potions. The words meant that you could use other means of mana that is not limited to your own mana pool. I did not hesitate pouring dozens of mana potions, I had with me as the word tempest devoured the handbook slowly changing its form.
