In this shortish story (which runs to about 12k words), Gabriel Beckett travels to the moon, summoned by trillionaire Richmal Branston for an urgent task. Branston has called all his nearest and dearest to his spooky home to tell them who will get his fortune. Not surprisingly, considering his loved ones are a bunch of fruitcakes, someone gets murdered. Can Beckett find the killer before they strike again?
The Mare Nyle is a fictitious "sea" on the moon, characterized by being somewhat boring. Why would Branston possibly have build a huge tower home there?
