Oh I'd like to be a classic woman
One that's confident but classy
One that can tempt any man
But doesn't have to be flashyI'd like to be dangerous
But Meek in my heart
I'd like to be fearless
And play my own partI'd like to have the power
But never abuse it
Delicate like a flower
But you better never use itFlower and flame
Sugar and spice
Elegance and fame
Fire and iceHow beautiful to be feminine and proud
We try so hard, it seems, to hide it
How alluring to be a woman out loud
Rather than just in privateWe should shout our differences
And love who we are
Shouldn't focus on appearances
No more hiding the scarsI'd like to be a classic woman
Proud of my female self
One that doesn't need a man
You can't keep me on a shelf(A/N): if this is somehow, in any way, offensive to anyone, I'm sorry. This is just the type of woman I look up to and strive to be. And I wanted to put it into poetry.
