Chapter 1 Pg.1

"The happiness I felt when I first held Anubis in my arms, was that all a lie as well?"

.......-

"It seems as though you're not curious at all....I told you that Nephthys had made a deal-"

"-I asked for something in return."

.......................................

Crimson eyes break open.

The first thing they saw was the infinite vastness of the nocturnal sky.

That and miles and miles of desert.

Except....

She didn't feel alone.

She....?

She was a woman she recalled.

But was this the only thing she remembered?

Why?

Before she was given the opportunity to begin to reflect upon her existence, an almost supernatural voice spoke.

"My daughter, my sweet child of desert."

She was nearly unable to comprehend the otherworldly voice.

"She who binds me to my beloved that will grant thy deepest desire..."

'What....?'

"Anuwe....born of my hand...you have awakened."

"Who...who are you?"

She whispered softly.

Shakily.

The man smiled warmly though his eyes were full of sorrow betraying his expression.

"My name is Osiris. And I am thy father."

He murmured, gently taking some of her fiery red strands of hair between his fingers.

"The same color as my beloved...so beautiful."

"But..."

She whispered.

"But if you are my father....then who am I?"

"Have I not made that clear?"

"No I... I don't understand."

"Your name is Anuwe."

"Y...Yes you said that but...."

She hesitated, clearly being cautious.

"You...you said beloved. Do you mean my mother? Who is she?"

The man said nothing clearly contemplating his words carefully.

"All you have to know is that you are the child of the strongest gods in Egypt."

He gently stroked the underside of her chin lovingly.

"Red eyes...as I'd hoped."

And with that he'd begun to walk away. Seemingly leading her deeper within this desert.

"Osiris?"

She questioned softly.

"Father."

He corrected with a small smile.

"Father..."

She murmured in reply.

The word felt a bit strange as it rolled off her tongue.

"Where are we going?"

He remained silent but only for but a moment.

"Duat."
