"Anuwe."

Anuwe held onto her head, cradling it in her hand.

"He's coming to you."

"W...who?"

She replied to the voice in her head.

"Osiris?"

"Father."

Anuwe resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

Osiris had appeared before her though his form was made from sand.

"Why do you have to reply to all my questions so mysteriously? Why can't you just tell me!? I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing!"

She shot back, clearly exasperated.

"How do I know I should even be listening to you...?"

She murmured, voice growing lower.

"My child I can see you grow frustrated. However, I ask that you stay patient and have trust in me when I say I'm merely doing what's best for you."

He gently brushed his fingers against her chin.

"Who?"

She repeated softly.

Finally Osiris sighed, crossing his arms.

"Horus."

"That explains a lot."

"My son."

"And he wants what with me?"

Osiris simply stated at the girl for a moment.

"Because you're the daughter of Seth."

"And that matters because...?"

"It was thought that Seth could not have children."

"Wha...then how am I here?"

"I'm the god of life. Or I was."

"How was I made from two men???"

"I have my ways."

Anuwe almost groaned in annoyance but bit her tongue.

"So knowing that another demigod might be running around is enough for them to try an seek you out."

"And what do I do if I am found???"

Osiris shrugged.

"Go with them if you wish. They won't do you any harm."

"Despite what my father has apparently done? Are you sure about that?"

"Ah so you heard."

"Yes I did! And thank you so much for the heads up! I would've appreciated a warning that red hair is considered a bad omen."

Anuwe muttered irritably, pulling at her head piece.

"The people of Egypt are quite...cautious."

Osiris replied dismissively.

"But no. You will not be punished for that."

Anuwe was silent.

Osiris stroked her face once more.

"So don't be afraid. Just simply trust in me..."

Osiris began to melt back into the ground.

"Trust...in...me."

And like that Osiris was gone again.

It felt as though every time she saw him it only left her with more questions then before.

Anubis pulled the hood lower to help hide his face, making his way through the busy streets of Egypt briskly and with relative ease.
