"Injunnie that's like years away, we're not even in junior high yet!"

"y-yeah but-"

"hey don't worry Jun, no matter what happens we'll be together"

"I'm ready to drop out" Donghyuck groaned dropping his head on the table

"Hyuck, it's only been 3 months since we started high school" Jeno chuckled watching the younger hit his head against the table repeatedly."Let me guess, your physics teacher gave you another project", which made the tanned male stop hitting his head and look up in annoyance

"This bitch didn't only give us another fucking project, but she made it worth 50 percent of our grade!" he whined "and not to mention it's due next fucking week" before he could proceed to slam his head against the table, a hand prevented him from hitting the wooden material

"Hitting yourself won't do anything love" it was no other than his lovely boyfriend Jaemin. Donghyuck sighed resting his head on his lover's shoulder and closing his eyes, the younger combed a finger through his hair letting him relax

"Stop being so mushy and gross" Jeno gagged looking unpleased at the sight in front of him, making Jaemin roll his eyes

"Oh shush, you're just salty you can't see your boyfriend until the end of the day because he isn't in the same year as us"

"Not true!"

"So you're telling me you didn't spend the whole class time texting Mark instead of paying attention"

"Sh-shut up" Jeno's face heated up in embarrassment as he glared at his best friend who just smirked in return

"GUYS" a voice shouted startling all of them, Donghyuck glared at whoever disturbed his peaceful and calming moment

It was a girl in the same year as them, she has the title of being the 'gossip queen' of the school

"What now Areum" Donghyuck groaned. It's not like he hated her entirely, but sometimes she would get her information from sources who blatantly lied to her, which ended up in her spreading fake rumors around the entire school body

Once, during their second month of high school someone had claimed to have seen Chenle buying cigarettes when that wasn't even close to being true, he was just getting a lollipop. However, Areum didn't bother to fact-check, and proceeded to spread rumors about him gaining lung cancer soon because of his "uncontrollable smoking habits"

The news of that didn't disappear for a while and some went as far as trying to bully him for it. But it was a given at this point that if you messed with him you'd be messing with five other boys. The rumors died down fairly quickly thanks to the help of his friends, there were occasional remarks from some but it wasn't anything major, either way, the boys wouldn't let it slide so easily, it's like they had always said. "You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us"

"I heard that a new student is coming in today during our next class! From what people have seen, he's the mysterious and quiet type!" she exclaimed "and according to my sources he went to the same junior high as you guys, so maybe you could give me any information you have about him" she looked at them with hopeful eyes

"Well, that depends, what's his name?"

"H-" before Areum could continue the bell rang indicating break was over, "well I guess you can find out in class!" she waved at them before walking away, the other three slowly got up and began heading towards their shared class

They wondered who this 'mysterious' boy was

"I heard he can sing!"

"really? that's so hot"

"maybe he can become my boyfriend!"

"But I heard he's gay!'

"seriously? it's always the cute ones that are gay it's so unfair!"

"Wow he hasn't even been introduced yet, and everyone is already gushing over him" Donghyuck laughed, but he had to admit he was becoming even more curious about who this student was

"okay class settle down" the teacher shouted walking in "as you probably already know we have a new student" the class began talking once again intrigued by who it could be "okay calm down everyone, we don't wanna overwhelm him" she warned, the teacher looked at the new boy and smiled "come in and introduce yourself please"

And suddenly it was as if time had stopped

"don't worry we're never gonna leave you, ever"

The boy walked in, causing Jeno Jaemin and Donghyuck to look at him in shock, an overwhelming amount of emotions hitting them

"yo-you mean it, you guys really m-mean that?"

"of course!"

He hadn't changed, except for the fact that he looked more serious compared to the innocent and timid face he once held. His eyes or well eye, his right one was covered by a white eyepatch while his left one looked at the class blankly

"because we're forever gonna be together!"

The three tried not to show any sign of discomfort, but every single memory was slowly beginning to consume them

"p-promise?"

"promise!"

"My name is Huang Renjun"

That's all it took for Jeno to run out of the classroom.
