Jeno sprinted

He didn't look back to see if the other two were behind him

He only kept on going up ahead, not even caring about the fact that he wasn't allowed to run inside the building, he would probably get detention for leaving the classroom anyways, so another punishment wouldn't hurt him

Besides,

He had worse things to think about right now

His mind was all over the place, as he kept on running, almost tripping on his shoes in the process, but somehow managed to reach his destination without any teachers catching him

He pushed the door opened and sighed, the fresh air hitting his now sweaty face, and walked closer to the edge while slowly closing his eyes

"JENO" a shout startled him, turns out they both had been right behind him the whole time when he took off

"Du-dude the hell was that" Jaemin panted trying to regain his breath, alongside a worn-out-looking Donghyuck

Jeno didn't bother to look back at them, instead took a seat on the edge

"Wh-why wo-would y-, Jesus Christ this why I don't run" the tanned male gave up. Instead, he laid down on the concrete floor of the rooftop trying to regain his composure as well

They spent the entire hour on the rooftop instead of going back to class

None of them ended up talking, they all remained quiet, only the sound of their ragged breaths and the howling of the cold harsh wind could be heard. They began thinking of everything that just happened

And how it was gonna affect all of them, once again

"Where the hell are they?" Chenle whined

It was lunchtime, which was the only period the younger two shared with their hyungs except for Mark, but said hyungs were nowhere to be found

"I'm so hungry, if they don't hurry up I'm gonna start eating without them" the Chinese groaned, he never had any patience when it came to waiting, Jisung rolled his eyes at the older

"You always eat before they show up anyways" he retorted, receiving a glare in return

"But they seem to be taking longer than usual" he pointed out

The three usually took five minutes or less to get to the library, where they always ate their lunch. Considering how annoying the cafeteria was with the number of girls trying to flirt with the boys, despite them all being gay it didn't stop them, and it certainly didn't stop the homophobic slurs that other people who were in the cafeteria brought either. They all had collectively agreed the library was a better place for them to stay, besides it wasn't far from their class either

However, it had been ten minutes and there was no sign of the other three showing up anytime soon

"Do you think they got in trouble?" Jisung asked, it was common for them to get detentions, Jeno would get caught using his phone way too often while Jaemin and Donghyuck were just loud and flirtatious

"Well maybe, but they usually get detentions after school, maybe they're finishing an assignment" the Chinese wondered, however, they would've told them if that was the case

"well, might as well go check their classroom" he declared standing up, the younger following his actions, as they both began walking

What a mistake that was

"Guys!" Chenle and Jisung both turned around and were surprised to see the oldest of the friend group running to catch up to them

"Aren't you supposed to be in class Mark hyung" Jisung raised an eyebrow in suspicion

"We-well, I left for a while because I missed you guys and stuff" he chuckled awkwardly

"Mhmm, so it's totally not because you just wanna see Jeno Hyung" Chenle teased, smirking when the elder's face began heating up

"Wow, can't believe you'd skip class so you can make out with your boyfriend" Jisung shook his head in disappointment

Mark groaned as the two continued teasing him

"Okay, okay fine! I just miss my boyfriend, happy?" he looked down in embarrassment "he hasn't replied to my texts for over two hours now, and I got worried" he added

That caused the two to stop teasing, and become even more confused

"So they haven't told you anything about where they are?" the maknae asked

Mark shook his head "I haven't heard from any of them in the group chat either, where are they?" the two only shrugged in response equally as lost

"We don't know either, which is why we were walking to their class to check up on them"

It didn't take long for them to reach, they entered the classroom, but no one was inside making the three once again confused. Concluding that they were somewhere else they began exiting the class but were stopped by Jisung

"Wait! Their stuff is still here. Look it's the pencil case I got for Jaemin Hyung" he pointed at the pink pencil case with little cherries all over it

"They left their phones here too apparently" Mark mumbled noticing his boyfriend's phone with a bunch of unread messages that he had sent him

"We should pack up their things and take it with us," he said beginning to collect Jeno's things, Jisung doing the same for Jaemin's as well as Chenle for Donghyuck

"Where could they be though?" Chenle asked

"Well usually if something big or serious happens, we go to the rooftop" Mark points out "so might as well go check there and see what happened to them"

The maknae walked a little ahead of the other two, but before he could leave the classroom, another student crashed with him instead making them both fall

As he began apologizing, he noticed Chenle's and Mark's facial expressions morphing into shocked ones, before he could ask, he faced the student he crashed with and his eyes widened

"JUN HYUNG IT'S OKAY"

"YOU TRUST US RIGHT?"

"I-I.."

Jisung's hands began shaking, tears began threatening to fall down his eyes

"I TRUST YOU GUYS"

"R-Renjun Hy-hyung?"
