Chapter 5

After school ended Adrien went to ask Marinette if she wanted to hang out. "Hey Mari do you wanna..." But before he could finish his sentence Zac interrupted him. "Sorry bud but we're gonna be hanging out tonight and everyother night before you ask." He informed him. Adrien looked to Marinette with a hurt look in his eyes but her face was stone cold. But while her face showed no emotions, inside her head was screaming at her to say something to him but the potion made her emotionless towards anyone except Zac. As Marinette walked away Adrien's heart broke just a little more. Instantly Chloe came running up to him and dragged him off towards her limo. 

Meanwhile up above in the gods home the Universal God, Fu, pondered over why his favourite gods had gone missing. Marinette and Adrien had gone missing over 100 years ago but still Fu didn't replace them, choosing instead to perform their duties himself. He couldnt get over the loss of them, thats why he let Chloe and Zac go and search for them on earth. He would've gone himself but he couldn't leave the universe unwatched. What he didn't see was Zac come back up and steal a little of his precious love potion. 

Some information about the love potion is that it can only be cured by true loves kiss...

After Adrien left Chloe's home he found himself at the front door of the Dupain-Cheng bakery. He decided he wanted some pastrys and to see Marinette. As soon as he walked through the door the smell of freshly baked bread hit him. He looked up to the counter to see a friendly woman who looked like an older version of Marinette. She smiled and welcomed him, "Would you like anything or are you here to visit Marinette." She asked him. "Umm could I please have a box of macarons and a few croissants oh and a loaf of that bread please?" He asked. "Of course sweetie," She said as she packaged up his order, "that'll be $10 please." Adrien handed over the money and she handed back his change. "Is Mari here, I'd like to say hi before I go." "Uhh yes sweetie she's just upstairs with that new boyfriend of hers, to be honest I don't really like him." She answered. "I don't really like him either but if he makes her happy." He said as he walked up to their apartment. He was about to enter her room when he heard voices. "Promise me you'll forget all about that Adrien and only love me." He commanded. "Yes my love." She answered. He then heard Zac get up and open the hatch. As quickly as he could Adrein scrambled down the stairs and hid behind a door. Zac walked out mumbling something to himself. Adrien let out a sigh of relief and walked up the stairs again to her room. He opened the hatch and saw Marinette sitting at her desk drawing something. "Hi Mari." He said. She looked up blankly and returned to her drawing. Adrien was confused why she wasn't responding to him. He got up and shook her shoulders but still no response, then he shook them more violently and nothing happened still. He then grabbed her so she was standing and looked her right in the eyes. "Mari has he done something to you, I know he told you to forget about me but you don't have to listen to him." He pleaded. But she still did nothing, as he walked away he felt his heart break just a little bit more...
