The next day at school Chloe and Zac were there early to come up with their new plan. "Maybe we could make Adrien unable to go out at night and Marinette unable to go out in the sun?" Zac asked. "Isn't that basically Marinette being a vampire you idiot, don't you think it would be a little bit suspicious." Chloe remarked. "Yes but they wouldn't be able to see each other, soo maybe." Zac intrigued. "Ugh no Zac thats just suspicious, what if we I don't know make Adrien suddenly have to move to America or something." Chloe suggested. "That's a good idea but won't it be a little bit suspicious if he suddenly dissappears." Suddenly Marinette and Adrien walked through the door chatting about random things.
"Yeah and then she said I was purrrtty pawsome." Adrien chuckled. "Omg really thats priceless." Marinette laughed back. Chloe and Zac stared at them in hatred, immediately they pounced on the pair like predators on prey. "Heey Adrikins whatcha doing." Chloe said while twirling her hair between her fingers. "Umm hi Charlotte was it, I was just talking to Marinette so if you could let us carry on with our conversation please." Adrien said politely. "First off my name is Chloe and I wanted to talk to you about going on a date with me." Chloe asked. "Sorry Chloe but no thank you, I'm not interested in dating you." Chloe walked off with a huff, back to Zac . "Your turn Zac hope you can do better." Chloe remarked. "Of course I can do better than you. Heey Marinette wanna go on a date with me tonight?" "Umm I'm sorry but who are you, plus I really am not interested in dating anyone right now." With that Zac walked off back to Chloe.
Later Marinette and Adrien sat at lunch together with Alya and Nino. They chatted like old friends and Alya and Nino noticed this and devised a plan on how to get them together. However they didn't know that the pair had already made plans to go to the new museum exhibit.
The school day ended and the pair started on their way to the museum. "I can't believe they added a new egyptian wing, it's my favourite era." Marinette remarked. "Same I'm so excited to see it, when I was homeschooled all my tutor taught me was about ancient egypt." They made it to the museum and went straight to the new wing. "Wow it's so pretty, wait that looks a bit like you Mari." Adrien said while pointing at a picture of The Moon Goddess. "Oh wait it does, it says this was the moon goddess, wow I look like a goddess. Ooh this one kinda looks like you." Marinette said while pointing to a picture of The Sun God. "Oh my god it does, this one is called the Sun God, apparently they were in love but then just dissappeared one day," Adrien read out, "What if we're the reincarnation of them, haha?" Little did they know that this was almost correct. Adrien excused himself to go to the batthroom, while he was in there Marinette found an ancient pair of earrings with ladybug symbols on them. Suddenly, she got a flashback of her old life when she touched them, they were the last link to her old life as a goddess. "W...what was that, there was Adrien and that Chloe girl as well as that weird guy who asked me out." She started to turn into her celestial self, her hands slowly closed around the earrings. Her hair grew out long and ribbons formed in it, her bluebell eyes turned into moon symbols. Adrien ran into the room and she dropped the earrings onto the floor. "Mari what happened to your eyes and your hair?" He asked. "I...I don't know, I remembered something about seeing my love and then.. umm." She stuttered. "I think I need to go to the bathroom." Mari said while scooping up the earrings in her hands. Once she left the room Adrien's eyes landed on the black cat ring. Instinctively he picked it up and memories rushed quickly into his head, "My love where did you go, why did you leave me?" He questioned. His eyes were replaced with sun symbols and a bright light surrounded him. He subconciously put the ring on his hand, the bright light slowly faded and his eyes turned back to emerald green orbs. Meanwhile with Marinette in the bathroom, she instinctively put the earrings in her ears and all her memories came rushimg back. The only thing she couldn't remember was the face of her lover, and her lover could not remember hers!
That is how Ladybug and Chat Noir came to be...
