The two reunited friends had been biking around the city for a good thirty minutes, before deciding to stop at a park. They leaned the yellow bike against a bench, where they chose to sit. The park was entirely dark, except for lampposts scattered across the place, which it seemed like they had entirely to themselves. You could hear the distant sound of city noise, the city still looking alive. It was true; New York never sleeps.

The two teens opened their chocolate milks and cheered, taking a big gulp of the cold chocolate sensation. After a few seconds of silence, Vienna broke the silence.

"So how is Aunt May?" The blonde asked, remembering how much time she had spent at their house, and how they had felt like a second family to her.

"She's good. I think she misses having another female in the house. Too much testosterone, she says." He laughs slightly, her joining in too.

"I miss her too sometimes. Especially her brownies. Holy crap, i've never had anything as good as those." They both laughed even more.

"I think she'd love to make brownies for you again." Peter said, making the girl beside him look down, lips curving into a smile.

"I'd like that too." A few seconds of comfortable silence passed, as Vienna grabbed a bag of chips from the bike basket and opened it, popping one into her mouth.

"Are you even allowed to just take things from the store?" He asked, grabbing a few chips from the bag and stuffing them into his mouth.

"Probably not, but they won't notice. I'm sneaky like a ninja, after all." She shrugged, obviously not worrying about the consequences of getting found out.

"Why do you work there anyways?" Peter said, changing the subject out of curiosity. It had been almost 4 years since they last spoke, so questions were unavoidable.

"I wanted to help my dad out a little by getting a job and paying for my own stuff. Plus i don't really have anything else to do in my spare time." Her head was tilted downwards, fingers picking at her nails.

Peter's eyebrows furrowed a bit at the last part. "What do you mean you don't have anything else to do?"

"I mean i don't really have anyone to hang out with anymore, ever since we stopped, y'know.." She paused for a few seconds to take a deep breath, "being friends."

He nodded, although a little surprised. He had always thought she had moved on to get new friends, but apparently neither of them were able to find anyone better. "Me neither."
