Y/n's Person POV

I woke up to the feeling of a hand stroking my hair. I had my head on my moms lap and she was brushing through my hair with her fingers.

My mother looked down on me with a weak and tired smile. "Good morning sunshine." She said with a scratchy voice.

God why did lung cancer have to get such a sweet lady like my mom?

I smiled and sat up looking around the house.

Why is everything in the house a mess?!
Did the clown come back?!
Or the zombies!??

Everything that was once on my mother's coffee table was now on the floor.

My eyes widened at the sight. "Wha-what happened ma?"

She giggle a little and then frowned.

"Penelope had a fit because I didn't say thank you when she gave me my carboplatin."
(It's a medicine for lung cancer)

Geez.
Was it really that serious?

I looked up at her. A single tear rolled down her face.

After a few moments of silence. I kissed my mom on the forehead and laid her down, then went upstairs to get ready for the quarry.

Ughhh I hate dresses and skirts

I wouldn't normally wear one but I knew that I wouldn't have it on for long.

I hopped on my bike and started to ride to the Quarry.

To be honest, the only thing on my mind was that clown and what the zombies were saying.

"Come float with us."
"Come float with Payton."
What the hell did that mean?

"Y/n, hey!" A voice said snapping me out my thoughts.

It was Beverly waving to me on her bike with her beautiful and kind smile.

I smiled back. "Hey Beverly."

I moved my bike closer to the girl so we would be riding together.

"Y/n, you can call me Bev. All my friends do...and by that I mean no one calls me that." She laughed trying to cover up the fact that she was really embarrassed.
