Your group made it back to the town and you were on your way to the blacksmiths but something had caught your attention.

Naofumi: hey Y/n what's the hold up?

Y/n: Nothing just something came to my attention you guys mind going on ahead.

Amaya: Y/n are you sure?

Yeah it'll be just a moment

You decided to walk into a nearby alley and leaned over on the side.

Y/n: you gonna keep shadowing me or what?

???: so your aware of my presence

Another one of those women in black revealed themselves to you.

Y/n: yeah it helps when I know what I'm looking for but that's beside the point. Why are you following us?

???: I can't disclose that information to you but know that we are on your side and seek only to stop the waves.

Y/n:*sigh* fine keep your secrets. Just don't get in our way.

You leave the alley and see everyone leave the blacksmiths shop.

Timeskip

After going through some loopholes you managed to get some new clothes for Filo.

Filo: Uncle Y/n how does it look!

Y/n: it looks great.

Amaya: you look very cute Filo!

Filo: thank you!

She ran to hug the both of you.

Shortly after you did some work escorting a merchant and dealing with some bandits. And
After helping him you were sent to a village per his request as it needed a large amount of herbicide for some reason.

As you and Naofumi wonder what it's even for your question is soon answered when you come across the village in question...

Y/n: holy crap...

Naofumi: yeah they weren't kidding when they said they needed herbicide for this! Filo let's go.

Filo: okay!

As you entered the village the village chef came and briefed you on the situation apparently the village had been dealing with overgrowth for a while but now the vines have begun turning into monsters and attacking the villagers and the adventures who were sent to stop them.

Naofumi: okay I seem to get the gist. Filo grab the adventures and bring them back here!

Y/n: You go and back her up griffon.

Filo who was eating some fruit turned to you...

Filo: Okay be right back.

Griffon: wait up squirt.

As they said that they both left the village and it didn't take long for them to come back.

Filo: there were plant monsters all over the place some even spat poison or acid.

Griffon: honestly it's a miracle that we found these guys unscathed. Those monsters were way outta their league.

Filo: pretty stupid move to try and attack them while they were so weak.

Raphtalia: you didn't have to say that last part....

As filo and Raphtalia were arguing the villagers were talking about how Naofumi is the savior of the heavenly foul. And begged him to heal some of their sick. As he was led to a tent you griffon and Amaya waited out side.

while you were waiting you were approached by some of the villagers.

Villagers: your with the savor aren't you please save our village!

Y/n: woah slow down we only came to deliver the herbicide and deal with your sick we don't want anything else to do with this place.

Villagers: please at least hear us out....

You nodded and sat down as they explained the situation further.

Originally the town was suffering from famine then the spear hero visited gifting the village a seed that was sealed in some ruins. After planting the seeds the plants provided food at first but it eventually grew too fast and overwhelmed the village.

Y/n: so it's that idiots fault great. And you guys accepted a sealed seed just because a hero gave it to you.

Villagers: Please we'll pay for the treatment and the monster extermination....In advance.

Y/n: fine.

You accepted the money and left the village.

Time skip brought to you by a chibi version of Y/n, Amaya, and griffon fighting the demon tree.

You and your party walked back to the village with a huge crate of seeds from the tree. As you entered you saw naofumi's party approaching you.

Filo: Uncle is back!

She ran towards you snuggling up to you.

Y/n: heh I wasn't gone for that long Filo.

Naofumi: Y/n your back. Where were you?

Y/n: the village wanted us to deal with the monster causing the over growth so we went to deal with it while you were healing the villagers.

Amaya: we got the seeds too and we're planning on sealing them away again.

Griffon: oh and don't worry we got paid in advance

Y/n: and before I forget I got you something.

You tossed Naofumi a piece of the demon tree

Y/n: try applying it to your shield.

Naofumi nodded and absorbed it into his shield gaining the bio plant shield.

Y/n: think you can do anything with it?

Naofumi began to look at his shield and the cursed seeds

Naofumi: Yeah give me a moment

On the next day Naofumi was able to use his new shields ability to alter the cursed seeds not only making it safe but also making it so that it produced much more fruit than before.

After accepting the rest of the payment from the village you all left.

Okay that's done sorry if this one was lacking I'm trying to get myself back into the swing of things and the next episode shouldn't take long.
