In the path of the Incubus spirit, all the humans outdoors were infected with spores. Without a tidal wave of holy water, there was no way left to fight but prayer.
"Father God, I have failed you. I cannot do this alone." I look up to the sky in tears.
"Are you done crying, or do you need a hug?" a frail man rocking dreadlocks kneeled by my side, offering his hand.
"I could use a hug." I sniffle, standing up.
"Self-pity attracts more demons and dark spirits. Are you alright, Carter?"
How does he know my name? His energy felt so pure. Simply standing close to him, I felt my energy and confidence return. He wore an emerald-green sweater and rose-red jeans. I couldn't wrap my brain around where I knew him, but I knew him. He led the way tugging me along as we ran to avoid the humans who began giving birth to demons. Filling their vessels, we ran for higher ground, leaving the streets filled with hundreds of monsters. Each second passing, more demons were born from the spores leaving battered bodies on the floor from the exhaustion of birth. It took only minutes for the monsters to grow full-size.
"I've never seen a full-fledge demon invasion. I can't imagine how you plan to fight all those demons." My new friend watched from the fire escape.
"I prayed for help. I need a warrior to help me, no offense." I sighed, sitting on the rooftop, looking at my mess.
"I am the help. Yeshua sent you a cleric. You are the warrior, Carter. You seriously need more confidence. If you can't master that, then have faith in God." He pats my back.
"If we touch that pavement, we are going to get swarmed and sent back to heaven." My heartfelt heavy.
"Not if we're wise. We need some cover. There has to be a church or mosque nearby." He suggests.
"I believe I passed a few religious buildings when I was flying here. You know my name, but who do I thank for lifting my spirits?" I extend my arm.
"I am Archangel Raphael."
"You are thee, Raphael? You- you're a member of the Sefirot! You're one of the top ten strongest angels!"
"Oh, stop, please!" Raphael gleams with a proud smile.
"I had no idea. I'm so sorry for insulting you!"
"Oh, okay, it's okay!" Raphael laughs.
"Wow... but- if Yeshua sent an Archangel. He believes this is pretty serious."
"Jesus sent you because he thought it was severe!" Raphael mentions.
I wiped my eyes, realizing his truth, accepting my reality. I'm who Jesus sent to fix this problem? Wow, he must believe in me. And I can't even believe in myself. I have to get up before all of California is infected if I'm all that's coming. We need to move quickly."
In his physical form, Raphael had no wings. However, his powerful aura was like a bright light for flies. He had something more profound than confidence causing the demons to shift to attacking the building. He had the utmost faith in Yeshua and Yahweh. Simply being around Raphael, I felt my spirit rise and strength return as if we handle this situation even if I had no idea how to fix it.
"About a mile south, there's a Church of Latter-Day Saints."
"Not my first pick, but it's a house of God." Raphael quips.
"3 miles away is a Mosque." I shrug.
"Oh, so much better but too far. The demons or their scouts will spot us if we're out too long. I heard from Michael and Zadkiel you haven't adjusted to having wings. I guess we go to the Mormons."
"Great, even Michael knows I suck at flying. Zadkiel trained me, so I'm not too surprised he knew." My cheeks turned red, thinking the strongest of all Archangels knew I was a bad flier.
I grabbed Raphael, and we set out for the skies. Below us were thousands of demons without sight of the Incubus Spirit that caused all this havoc. In his wisp form, he'll be nearly impossible to find. He likely released his spores then got even smaller in size. Regardless, it wouldn't matter. I would need to find Lilith or Ahab. I knew Ahab had moved into Hollywood, but I had no idea where Lilith would be considering everything going on.
