No fire spells

This take place after season four of the originals. Davina is spending the day with Hope. And finds her practicing magic. She tells hope she can do whet ever spells she wants except for ones involving fire.

Davina Claire walked in her apartment in San Francisco too see her niece Hope Mikaelson who was staying with her and Kole for awhile. Hayley was still in New Orleans with Freya and Vincent so Marcel had bought her. Hope was practicing magic a toy horse her father had made was spinning around as Hope stared at it the seven year old girl had already gotten pretty good at traditional Magic.

Davina had helped Hope with a few assignments and with her mother's permission was teaching her basic healing and elemental magic. Her niece was an extremely quick learner in a matter a of weeks she had mastered a healing spell.

It wasn't to advanced but someone Hope's age wouldn't have been able to normally do. Hope had the best parts of both her parents but she was also a bit mischievous with magic at times. One time hope had used a magic to change all the dinner into desert. While most of the family including Davina found it funny Hayley was not to thrilled with her daughters antics however.

Davina smiled and walked over to sit next to the girl who looked up at her the horse stopped spinning.

"Hi aunt Davina.""

"Hey, how was your day with uncle Kole?" The woman asked she was always a little worried when she left her husband alone with the young girl. Not because she was afraid Kole would hurt or trick his niece into doing something wrong. It was because she was afraid what she would come home too."

"It was fun! He gave me this book to work with you on!" She said handing Davina a book on elemental spells, basic things that involved the elements.

"Can, we work on it aunt Davina please!" The girl begged giving her her best puppy dog eyes Davina flipped through it and honestly saw nothing really dangerous in it other then fire.

"Okay, but here's the deal, you can practice any spell in the book except for fire spells got it."

"Got it." Hope replied excitedly

Davina looked her niece in the eyes her expression became serous. Hope knew the difference between right and wrong and as far as Davina could tell she was a good kid. However she was also known to experiment with magic.

"I mean it Hope no fire spells especially without Kole or myself present understand?"

Hope could tell from her aunts stern voice she meant it that was a tone she had only heard her mother use with her a few times when she got out line. None of her aunts had ever used that tone with her.

"Yes aunt Davina. Hope said softly

"Okay, let's get some lunch then we'll start with the basics." Davina said smiling after they had lunch Davina and Hope went outside and sat on the grass.

"Okay, let's try the nature spell first." Davina said smiling pointing to a flower that had just started to grow she said "remember what Freya and I taught you about focusing magic, well now you want to focus your magic to speed the growth of this flower just focus and say crescere arbor."

"Crescere arbor." The girl said and the flower fully bloomed. Hope, repeated the process until Davina stopped her.

"I think that's enough flowers kiddo." She said taking the girls and the two headed inside

The next day the two worked on the plant and flower revival spells and Davina was impressed by Hope's determination pretty soon they moved on to water spells by the end of the day all that was left were wind and fire spells. Davina was reluctant to let hope try any fire spell but she decided a simple ember spell would be okay as long as Hope was supervised. Placing a small line of salt Davina told hope the incantation.
