A Substitute witch

A/N: this isn't so much of a spanking one shot as it is a sequel to the first chapter.

Davina made her way down the hall of the school. She had agreed to be a temporary teacher for the witches until a replacement was found. It was actually fun her first night she had arrived but today was the first day of teaching she was nervous . She could do without the odd looks that the students gave her as she walked to class though being a harvest girl, former Regent and married to an original came with that. She suspected it also had to do with the fact that she was related to one of the students.

Hope had been happy to see her but a little dissent, She also didn't like the rumors being spread around about her niece and herself except the one about being one of the most powerful witches in the world. She walked in the class just as everyone was getting seated. "Good morning everyone," she said getting there attention "let's get all the rumors cleared up, yes I'm a former Regent, yes I was a harvest girl from New Orleans, No I'm not going to be teaching you any super advanced magic, and while I may look your age I'm actually 32, any questions?" Davina asked almost every hand went up except Hope's and her friends. "Let me rephrase that, any questions that aren't about my personal life?"

All of the hands went down, and Davina started with her lecture on divination  talking about automatic writing she noticed that most of the witches including Hope paid very close attention taking everything in. The entire time she could tell something was troubling her niece, she decided to confront her about it after class.

The class passed by faster then she expected as everyone got up she asked hope to stay behind. "Hope I'd like a word with you." She called Hope made her way over to her aunt as people stopped to listen in. "Anyone who's not a Tribrid has 5 seconds to get out of my class!" Davina said in a dangerous tone everyone cleared out and Davina put up a silencing spell. Hope looked at Davina she hadn't spoken to her aunt in a few months other then video chatting with Kole.

"How are you?" She asked as the girl took a seat.
"Fine, I guess." She replied not looking at Davina who was becoming more concerned about her niece's behavior by the minute. She wondered if she was acting like this because of the last visit. "Hope, I may not be Freya or Rebekah but I'm always here to talk. Please just tell me what's going on." Hope then began to explain everything that had happened from the Malivore pit to Landon and her break up including the part were he seemed to melt after they had sex.

"Well I'de say you've had quite a rough couple of months, but your safe at least it also explains why I seemed to forgot you one minute and remember you months later." Davina said before she realized something Hope had seemed drained all day "what have you and you're friends been doing since Landon left?" When Hope asked why Davina said she looked exhausted.

"I've been keeping to myself mostly, trying to keep my emotions in check." Hope replied when Davina asked if Hope had talked to anyone Hope said Emma had left and she didn't feel comfortable with talking about it with Alaric. "Okay, get to class after dinner tonight we'll talk more." Davina said gently

It was 7:30 and Hope was talking with Josie and Lizzie in her room when Davina knocked on the door lightly. "Hey Can I barrow Josie for a second?" She asked after exchanging looks with her twin and friend Josie fallowed the older witch out.  Davina cast a silencing spell around them. "Josie, I need an honest answer has Hope seemed different to you lately?" 

"You mean distant, yeah but she's always been a loaner." Josie replied "ever since she first arrived she's been like that." Davina nodded asking if Hope had done any dark magic recently? Josie shook her head saying she didn't think so. "Ever since your last visit she's been more careful." The girl said truthfully, after Davina's last visit Hope's attitude had changed drastically she still believed the ends justified the means but wasn't as reckless as she used to be Davina wondered if the girls trip over her knee was the reason for that.  She had spanked hope a few months ago for using dark magic and a bad attitude. She noticed Josie had a troubled look in her eye. "What is it?" She asked the teenager who then explained what had gone down with Hope since then.
