The Consaquences of Dark Magic

This takes place after the events of "Some People want to watch the world burn." Alaric wasn't the only one who found out about Hope using Dark Magic. When Davina Claire senses dark magic from Hope she heads to "The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted." When she arrives she is not happy to find that her niece has used magic that could corrupt her soul. Davina knowing exactly what could happen if hope uses it decides to take matters into her own hands.

Davina Claire awoke to the feeling of a dark energy being used. She pulled away from her husband Kole Mikaelson who was sleeping and called Freya on her phone when she heard a soft "hello."
"Hey Freya it's your sister in law." Davina said
"Yeah I know I have a caller ID what's up?" Freya asked. Davina took a deep breath before starting "I felt...well dark magic and I think it came from our niece."

"Well she is a Mikaelson." Freya Joked then became serious "Davina, be honest with me how strong was it?" The older witch asked.
"It wasn't hollow strong it was just being used I'm heading to mystic Falls to see what's up." Davina said. "Okay but be careful last time my brother went there he was shot in the back with a stake." Davina agreed to be careful and hung up she shook Kole awake as her husband opened his eyes she smiled and kissed him. "What's going on love?" He asked "we're going to mystic falls." She said at Kole's questioning look she explained what had woken her up and about how she was worried about Hope. "Kole frowned telling her that he'd probably be attacked on sight considering past events Davina agreed and set off for mystic falls.

The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted

Alaric sat in his office as the daughter of Hayley and Klaus sat in her room he had been so angry that Hope had used dark magic. Had she learned nothing from her father's mistake he was snapped out of his thoughts when a young woman entered his office after introducing herself Davina sat down "I'm guessing your thoughts have something to do with my niece. Alaric nodded and handed her the paper with the spell Hope had used to defeat the dragon. Davina looked at the spell Freya didn't teach Hope those kind of spells or at least she didn't think so.

As Davina pocketed the paper she took a breath she thought about the role she'd played in Hope's life. She hadn't been a big part of Hope's life but she wanted to change that, the last time they'd seen each other was at Freya's wedding she had been fifteen once too and knew how reckless a teenager could be now she was 27 and hope was seventeen but Hope was not just a teenager she was a witch,werewolf, and vampire. She was dangerous enough but with dark magic she was basically a weapon. After klaus's sacrifice Kole had talked Davina into letting Hope spend some time with them. Davina was eager to get to know her niece better.

Hope was not as eager to spend time with Davina while she was around her she seemed to be more aware of Davina almost as if expecting Davina to try and kill her while she wasn't looking. After a week though the two seemed to bond and become as close Hope was with Rebekah. The older witch was snapped out of her thoughts as Alaric asked if she was okay.
"Yeah I'm fine, were is Hope I'de like to talk to her."  Davina said Alaric nodded and lead the way down the halls towards Hope's room.

Alaric stopped outside the room "this is it I hope you can talk some sense into her."  Davina hesitated before entering she could approach this two ways the first was use the gentle loving act that she'd used in the cemetery or she could come down hard on her niece for doing something so stupid. As she walked in she saw hope sitting on the bed she could tell that the teenager was conflicted. "Hey Hope." She said placing a hand on the girls shoulder Hope looked up "Aunt Davina!" The girl said getting up and hugging her Davina smiled "it's good to see you cub." She said over the years hope had got several nicknames by her family Davina had started calling her cub since she was part werewolf. Hope was smiling as the hug ended. "what are you doing here?" She asked sitting down. Davina sat next to her "I think the better question is why are you using dark magic?" Davina asked sternly Hope looked at her aunt and fidgeted under Davina's gaze "I...well...you see... What happened was..."
