if u have watched it i rlly wanna share my thoughts on some of it :)
Honestly, i believe finch was going through so much mental trauma and pain, stuff that violet would never b able to understand, yk? And while finch was showing all these places to violet and helping her get out of her mental hole - that was his way of coping w his trauma. Instead, after a while Finch needed more support than ever, however, hes too scared to ask so he starts treating violet even BETTER, in hope that she returns the same treatment. However, Violet is so caught up in her own world and all her own trauma that she doesnt get the signs. Which leads to him not understanding how to cope - thats the part towards the end of the movie where he starts to leave more often. He then realises that no matter what, they will never get the signals of his trauma and pain because they are so obsessed with their own problems. So he offed himself as a last resort.
