"I guess the weather isn't as nice as I thought it would be," the father of the family said as he held out his hands. "should we go inside?" Minho made the suggestion, to which Changbin immediately began to whine, "I don't want to go in." "I do," came his aunt with a gentle smile. Hyunjin and Seungmin also agreed to the aunt's suggestion, so the student had to admit defeat. After all, his parents had taught him that one should always listen to his elders. Unless they talk nonsense themselves. What was never really absurd in his family. Before it started to rain harder the family went back into the house and made themselves comfortable in the large living room. While the married couples almost stuck to each other, the two children kept their distance. That was almost too much closeness that people could have with each other, Changbin thought, and later decided never to become like that.
Now the adults began with their conversation topics that actually only bored the two children. Of course, Seungmin and Minho got back to talking about their relationship. Changbin sank deeper into the couch as they talked about his grades in school. Of course, he tried to play it cool and gave his father a snarky answer. Too bad his little brother told him that he didn't really write the exam. The older one bit his lip and tried to play it down, "It was just an unimportant exam". "He's just like his father," Grandma Jeongin remarked, to which Jisung laughed sheepishly. Seungmin motioned to Chan "Don't learn that from him" to which the youngest just nodded.
"I'm currently very interested in fashion," Jeongin said with a broad grin, "I also upload ootp on my Instagram," Hyunjin looked at her mother-in-law in surprise. Despite being an anchorwoman, she had no idea what it was. "I don't know" Jeongin said laughing. "It's called Outfit of the day," interjected Seungmin, who was busy with Chan's toys, but still seemed to be participating in the conversation. "Ah my eldest is so smart." Mother, you should know that if you're going to post something like that," came Seungmin, rather distractedly. "Shut up," he got from his mother as a grateful answer, prompting Yongbok to laugh.
"Can you cut my wife's hair too? They are much too long" Seungmin asked Hyunjin and Jisung wanted to start crying again. Her long hair was so beautiful on her and she wore it with such elegance that it almost took his breath away. Secretly, of course. Seungmin got a slap on the arm for this remark.
Once again, the family reunion ended in a small party when Changbin grabbed the microphone again and started playing music. Grandfather Yongbok took the microphone from him and began to put on a performance that was unparalleled. Almost embarrassed, Jeongin held her hands in front of her face to avoid looking at her sometimes too stupid husband. Finally Changbin could brag about his rap that he always praised so highly. But when the adults looked at him eagerly, he simply forgot his lyrics.
"Let's cut the watermelon," Jisung suggested to his family. "I'm not telling you to cut it, I'm just telling you to get it, son," he gently patted his eldest's knee. Of course, he was much too lazy for that, so he tried to get his younger brother, who was much too strong, to fetch them. However, he only got reprimands from his father for this stupid idea, "You can't go chasing after your little brother. Changbin had to take cover when his grandmother suddenly sided with his father and threatened him with her fan.
Even the watermelon gave way under the force of Minho, when this set to the first cut. The melon already tore open when the knife did not even cut deep into the skin. The entire family eyed the spectacle with wide eyes. "honey have you always been left-handed?" asked her astonished husband when he noticed with which hand she cut the melon. He was of the firm opinion that he had married a right-handed woman. He immediately moved closer to his mother as Minho turned to him with the knife in her hand, "What?" "I'm sorry," he begged placatingly.
"Honey, you're so good at this," came from Jisung as he watched Minho. "Honey?" Minho asked with a smile in Jisung's direction and immediately realized his mistake. Hyunjin's scrutinizing gaze went to her husband who immediately tried to save himself from the situation. "It's nothing, you didn't hear anything, right?" the desperate husband wanted to know. But his son also looked at him now with a grin on his lips. "Did you cheat on me?" Hyunjin now voiced her suspicions. "What are you talking about?" but immediately the strong woman grabbed the shirt collar of her apparently cheating husband.
"No. I mean, I went out for some fresh air and then..." Jisung tried desperately to wriggle out of the situation, but it was hopeless. Minho, meanwhile, said nothing and calmly continued to cut the melon for the family.
"THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH FALLING IN LOVE!" came from the caught husband. Immediately his brother jumped up and looked at him with a reproachful look. But Jisung also stood up to confront his not-so-innocent brother with his observations. "You don't think you've done anything wrong, right?" he started and immediately added another sentence "Last week you met with my wife and you held hands!" "You little bastard" was the only answer he got from his older brother.
