The Moon took leave after a tiring night shift while the Sun took over, painting the sky in hues of red and orange, blessing the world with its golden touch. The Luna town welcomed the new morning that hinted it's a new day to start over, a new day to try again, a new day to heal, a new day to make things right, a new day to love yourself more.

The town itself is a paradise on Earth. In there, every stomach is well fed. All the animals and birds are happy. Nobody is poor and there's no caste or religious discrimination. There are plenty of trees and water is abundant. It tastes like Elixir. The Luna town has a lot of moons as the name says and they all have a cycle of their own. Nobody has lonely nights 'cause the moon always accompanies.

Sounds dreamy and perfect, doesn't it? But alas! Every light has its shadow. Every creature is happy but the humans. They barely make friends. The people of Luna town are said to be born with a peculiar or annoying trait. Nobody knows why or how and every research was in vain. But there is folklore around the town. Apparently, someone from the said town dated a girl and dumped her saying she's annoying. The fury of the girl led to the curse and that's why they're suffering.

Cherry dragged his heavy heart along the unpaved paths in hopes of getting lost. He is born mute, which is his trait. Nobody in the town knows sign language and nobody is patient enough to wait until he writes it down. So he's always clouded by a silence that is not so peaceful. He walked with his head hung low, determined not to cry. While some are perfectly fine with having no friends, some are not.

Cherry's mind flew back to what happened earlier today. He was made an outcast and the other kids tormented him for months for trying to make friends and today it went overboard. Before he knew it he was on the outskirts of the town. He wanted to get lost but not literally so he looked around in hopes of finding someone but it was in vain.

He kept walking until he found a light at a distance. The light lit up a flame of hope in him. He sprinted towards there and paused as he found a cosy and small building that looked welcoming. Cherry was hesitant as he knows how mean people can be, but it's his only choice right now. So he knocked anyway.

After a good thirty seconds, the door opened revealing a shorter boy who looked around his age. He opened the door wide enough to let him in. Cherry went in and found another boy who looked a bit older than them.

He scanned the room which seemed bigger than he expected. The room doesn't have much furniture but it was decent. The walls were white and the rugs were clean but the room smelled strange.

The oldest of the three broke the ice. He inquired what Cherry was doing in a deserted place. He was silent for a few seconds and looked around for something to write. As soon as he found a notepad he wrote down the events that happened today. Everything from his trait to how he was treated. Knowing his side, they couldn't help but feel bad. After all, they know how mean their townspeople can be.

The older guy introduced himself as Kuma and the other as Flower. Kuma's trait is he randomly hugs someone every few minutes and Flower stinks. Ironic, isn't it?  Cherry nodded to himself as the strange smell made sense now.

A few minutes later, the door opened revealing a new girl who made herself at home without even noticing the new presence. Glancing at the puzzled look in his eyes, Kuma shook the girl's shoulder. When she eventually realised the stranger's presence, she threw a bunch of questions giving no time for them to respond. Poor Cherry barely listened to anything as she was talking too fast.

Flower calmed her down as Kuma filled her in with Cherry's story. He introduced the chatty girl as Tweety. Her trait is talking which is now obvious. She talks too fast like she's a rapper.

Flower, Kuma and Tweety were also treated badly by the townspeople in the past. So they come here often just to be themselves and that's how they all met. They all opened their hearts to Cherry and made him their friend.

Kuma would hug Flower whenever he wants to and Flower is too touch-deprived to find his hugs bothersome. And now that Cherry found Tweety, she would talk for him.

Cherry's once rock filled heart was then filled with feathers and warmth. They accepted him. Acceptance, something he craved for a long time. They embraced each other along with their traits. They nullified each other's flaws. Sometimes you don't need the whole world to accept you, but one person. And Cherry found a home in them.

They came together to create their Utopia.

'Cause like someone once said, "Utopia isn't a place but people." Maybe the Luna town would realise this soon and warm up. Maybe the curse would mean nothing when they do so.
