"There are a thousand cookies, " Theodore whispered to Draco, nudging him with his elbow. Draco looked over to his friend and grinned.

"No, there's only thirty, silly, " said the sweet voice of Sage as she smiled slightly, "See you count to ten three times, that means there's thirty."

"Very good, Sage," Narcissa Malfoy said, gliding up to the group of children. "Theodore, Draco, Elora Zabini has brought her son, Blaise. Do go introduce yourselves."

Both boys nodded toward her and ran off to the new boy. Narcissa put her hand on Sage's back and guided her toward the other side of the room, "Our friends are over here, dear."

"Pansy!"

"Sage!"

Pansy, Sage, and Daphne had spent much time at Nott Court in the upcoming weeks. They spent a lot of time bugging the elves and playing dress-up with Sage's personalized closet full of play clothes.

They would have lunch in the garden and then would skip down the path gazing at the pretty new flowers.

Spring was always pretty at Nott Court, especially with all the purple flowers and gold decorations throughout the yard.

This beauty was not overlooked by anyone, including the girls who would spend hours twirling around in the bushes.

Sage knew who she was, her father would never allow her to forget. She was just Theodore's twin.

Sage was the extra. The "kept just in case Theodore was not here."

Sage knew this.

But Sage didn't like being in the shadows. Sage loved the limelight and all the attention that came with it. She was, of course, Narcissa Malfoy's God-daughter.

So, maybe to her father Sage was nothing more than a glorified house-elf, but to Sage, she was the center of everyone's universe.

Watching everyone fawn over Theodore hurt. Sage didn't understand why they were all so obsessed with him that day.

She felt a way she never had before. It was close to anger but not exactly there and almost like sadness but not really.

Sage didn't know what to do, or what was happening, so she left Malfoy Manor and went to the orchard.

Draco found her later, leaning against a tree munching on the green apples, their favorite.

The blonde boy plopped down on the ground next to her, taking the apple out of her hand to take a bite.

"Watcha' doin' out here all alone?" She could see the pieces of Apple in his mouth and shudder.

"Mouth closed while you chew please, " she reprimanded, "Your mother would hex you into next week if she caught you."

Draco at least had it in him to look ashamed and even a little embarrassed, if the red tint across his face was to say anything. He handed the apple back and wiped his mouth, "My mother would hex you into next week for avoiding her party."

Sage scowled and looked away from the blonde boy. She shook her head and watched the little bugs fly from one flower to the next, collecting their food. It was a gorgeous day outside, meaning a horrible day to have tea inside, a mistake on Narcissa's part. The sun was shining, a rare occasion and all the animals were out to play. A cool breeze kept the young witch cool from the unusually warm summer day.
