~Author's Note~ just a quick poem for you guys! hope ya enjoy!
I opened my eyes to see black. Then I realized, my eyes were not open. “Where am I?” I asked my self in my head. “You’re inside you.” a voice replied. I heard it eco off the imaginary walls of my mind. “Ok… well that sure helped.” I sighed sarcastically. The voice giggled and a girl was in front of me. She had two purple pigtails and a white sun dress that went to her knees. It had purple flowers on it and swayed as she walked towards me. Then I realized yet another thing, who am I? That’s right, I don’t remember my name, personality, how I look, nothing! I sighed again and looked up at the girl, “who are you?” I asked “Well, I’m you!” she said with a smile. “Ok this is just SO realistic!” I sighed again. Then I asked, “Who am I?” she looked confused. “You’re… you’re…” it took her a second and she shook her head, “Sorry but if you don’t know I don’t either.” I felt tears build up in my eyes. “This is just great! I am trapped here with no way out, no idea who I even am. With out that, what am I?” “You are still something!” the girl said, putting her hand on my shoulder. “I mean, I am something! And after all, I am you!” she stood tall and proud, staring at me. Then inspiration struck. “Well if you’re me then who are you?” I asked, suddenly, realizing how great of an idea I had. “I told you I’m YOU!” she cried “Well what’s your name, tell me about your self because I’m you so what you say goes for me as well!” I exclaimed. “NO,” she yelled “you have this all wrong, you’re not me! I’m you” she yelled. “So? Potato patato!” I cried. I was getting tired of all this. She sighed and muttered “How to explain this…” over and over again. “You may be in my brain but you are your own self! I am not controlling you.” I said. She snapped her fingers and looked at me. “Ok so there’s a mocking bird and a blue jay! You are the blue jay, I am the mocking bird. The mocking bird copies the blue jay, but the blue jay does not copy the mocking bird.” she announced proudly. “So you’re just a copy of me…” I said, hardly above a whisper. I shook my head. “No, not any more!” I yelled. She looked at me like I had 3 heads “What do you mean?” she asked cautiously. “Your name right now is Sydney and you will help me find who I am. You are not me, you are free, your own self.” I said. The two of us looked at each other “Deal?” I asked, and in reply came a simple, “Deal.”
