Plot
Julia, a 6th year at Hogwarts, has lived with the Malfoys her entire life. Due to shocking circumstances, Julia discovers that the Malfoys aren't in fact her real family, the Potters are.Julia's POV:
Dear Diary,
Today is the last day of the summer holidays and while most people think that this sucks, I can't wait to go back to Hogwarts! For the last few weeks, Draco has been whining on and on about this task from the Dark Lord he has to do. He won't tell me entirely what it's about but still wants me to help him which I think is completely unfair. Anyway, I have to go now or I'll be late for the train and Mother and Father always say that "A disgraced pure blood just as bad as a mudblood." Personally, I think that's a filthy word, mudblood, after all, my best friend, Hermione is a muggle born and could magic circles around anyone in my family.
Love Julia. The one thing I really missed about home was Draco. The real Draco I mean. Here, at Hogwarts he's a total asshole but at home, he's just my big brother. Still kind of an asshole but he doesn't do that whole "look at me I'm a big, bad bully" thing which he always does in front of my friends; he'll never accept the fact that I'm a Gryffindor and will never be a Slytherin like him and the rest of our family.

Third person POV:"Julia! Julia!" It was Draco again. Julia knew what he was going to ask before he had even opened his mouth.
"For the last time! I will not help you with whatever..." Julia looked around suspiciously to make sure no one was eavesdropping before whispering "Whatever Death Eater activities you're involved with. Now, if you don't mind, I have places to be." Said Julia, turning away from Draco and making her way towards Dumbledore's office. Before she could walk away, Draco grabbed onto her sleeve "I know you're going to go see Potter," he spat "Leave your little mudblood and blood traitor friends and join my friends." He asked pleadingly.
"I know you're a Gryffindor but I bet Father could pay Dumbledore for a resorting. Merlin knows this horrendous place needs some funding."
"I'm not interested in joining your gang of bullies, Draco and where I have to be is none of your concern." Replied Julia stiffly.
"OUR FATHER WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!" Shouted Draco in Julia's absence only to be met by two middle fingers flipping him off as she walked away. While Draco was in his own secret mission, so was Julia. A mission that only she, Harry and Dumbledore could know about. Thoughts of Harry and Draco swirled through her mind. Draco, the boy was nothing like her in personality nor looks, no matter how hard Narcissa tried to change that, but he was her brother, right? But then there was Harry. Julia wasn't sure about who Harry truly was. They did look similar from certain angles, they were both Gryffindors and worked perfectly in sync with one another. It felt as though their connection passed acquaintances, beyond friendship even, there was something deeper inside that drew her to him, in no way romantically, but stronger than any bond she had ever had before.
Closely approaching the office entrance, Julia spoke the password and shook her head, as if able to discard the loose thoughts clinging onto her overworked mind. That thought was ridiculous. For one, she had a perfectly composed, pure family while Harry was a half blood orphan. Just as Julia was about to continue her silent debate, she arrived in Dumbledore's office, Harry already seated in front of her. As Julia already knew, her's and Harry's mission was to extract a very important memory from Professer Slughorn, a goal in which they were very close in achieving. Being the more intellectual of the pair, Julia had been in charge of planning how to complete this task while Harry was more concerned with the actual "heroics" which always make Julia grin.
Dumbledore instructed the pair that tonight's the night that they needed to strike before it was too late. It was time to see if Julia's hard work and planning had paid off or if it all came down to nothing.
After 3 hours of Julia sitting quietly and Dumbledore pacing the smooth, wooden floor of his office, a very giddy Harry stepped through the door with a vile of glimmering memories.
They had done itThe three soon entered the pensive and then learned of the horcrux's whereabouts. It all ultimately came down to this. Dumbledore sped out of the door and Harry insisted on joining him but persuaded Julia to stay at the castle, just incase anything went wrong and she needed to complete the mission solo as the most valuable member of the team. Although frustrated at not being part of the action Julia agreed and waited, and waited, and waited for what seemed to be a lifetime until she heard an ear piecing scream.
Running as though her life depended on it, which little to her knowledge, it really did, she burst outside of the castle, where she saw a streadily growing amount of people fill the grounds. Julia didn't know what shocked her the most; the fact that Dumbledore's body was lying sprawled across the ground lifelessly, or the fact that she had just seen Draco, her own brother, standing at Dumbledore's feet and not doing anything to help.
"DRACO" Julia screamed "DRACO" her voice got more hoarse as she approached, salty tears spilling down her face. "HELP HIM! WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING HIM?" But Julia already knew the answer. Draco had helped to kill the man. The strongest wizard Julia had ever met was defeated by her own brother. She sunk to her knees, soon followed by Harry and remained on the floor next to Dumbledore's still body as cackling Death Eaters disapperated and caused mayhem, but all the pair could focus on was the man in front of them.
Once eventually being brought back to reality, Julia spied a slightly cracked vial of memories in Dumbledore's clenched hand labelled "The Potter Siblings." Confused and tired, Julia tapped on Harry's slumped shoulder. "Siblings?" She thought.
Wordlessly, the pair stood up and walked towards Dumbledore's bowl pensive, still swirling with the remains of the last memory which stung like a wound in Julia's heart. Shakily, Julia poured the shiny memory into the bowl and dipped her head into the waiting memories before her.
There was a scream from a beautiful ginger women with the same eyes as Julia and Harry as she held two babies behind her back, forbidding the Dark Lord to harm her children. Then, the scene cut to Dumbledore and Professer McGonagall each holding a child. One being a boy with a scar on his forehead, about to live out his life with his Auntie, Uncle and cousin in the muggle world and the other being a girl, ready to live with a strict, pure blood family with a blond boy of a similar age, eager to be a brother, and a husband and wife who were willing to raise a second child. Flashbacks from each other's life's played like a slide show, leading up to this moment.
The pair withdrew from the pensive and embraced, finally felling at home with their real family and swearing to take down Voldemort if it's the last thing they do.
