Ok Im just giving this a try. I really like writing and some of my friends write on here. Thanks for making the cover twisterkitty828. Lol like they say at restaurants... Enjoy (;
"Why are you home so late? What kind of example do you think your setting for your daughter?" I remember my mother saying to my father, her voice rising each word she said. My father did what he always did when she yelled at him, say a quick sorry and run off to their room. But this time she followed him. I heard every word and my father was getting louder with my mother until he softly asked her, "Do you still love me?" I heard a huge gap of silence and a slam of a door. That was the last time I've ever seen my father and the last time I've ever seen my mother healthy.
That was when I was five, now im sixteen and I know the truth, unlike all the lies and fairy tale stories, in the real world there is no such thing as happily ever after.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
I groaned and turned it off. Every teenagers nightmare is the sound of their alarm clock. I threw on a sweater and some jeans. I dont really care how I looked, not like anyones gonna notice a little poor, foster kid anyways. I threw my hair up and put on some lip gloss looking in the mirror, I wondered why I looked so pale but said whatever and checked the time. HOLY CRAP, I thought, I've been moving so slow I have 5 minutes left!
I brushed my teeth and ran downstairs to get something to eat. Of course when you live in a foster home with 9 others kid, (4 being hungry, food-demolishing teenage boys who will, and I'm serious, eat anything they see) it's hard to find uneaten food. I grabbed two cups of yogurt (yogurt being my favorite food) and ran out the door. The school is only a block away and I didn't want to walk with all the others. I try to walk as fast as I can so I could have some quality Jessica-think-time, well thats what I like to call it, but me being the slow person I am I see James walk up besides me. James isn't a bad person, but he'll do anything and I mean ANYTHING to get even the slightest bit of attention.
"Hey. Are you ok you look a little pale? And I finally learned how to do a backflip, want to see?" He asked me with the biggest grin you would think someone just bought him a brand new Lamborghini.
"James as much as I would love to see you fall on your face and beg for me to help, I'll have to pass. And yeah, I'm fine." I say, smiling a little just because his smiles are like contagious. They are one-hundred percent real and thats what I liked about him, he wasnt fake.
"Pleaseeeee Jess." He begged, "I'm dying to show someone, plus think about it like this you'll be the first one to see me success."
"Fine." I said turning to face him, "lets make this quick."
He grinned even bigger, if that was even possible and got in his ready stance. He jumped, flipped, and lande... Well he fell on his knees, but that was way better than the last time he showed me and he almost broke his neck.
I smiled at him and gave him my hand to help him up, "Very close my friend."
He blushed a little and ran into the school. That's when I noticed we were right in front of the staires. I climbed up and walked to my locker, trying not to get shoved around by boys running in the halls.
When I finally made it I realized I had about 1 minute to get to class so I did what the boys did in the halls, run. I walked into my class just before the bell rang breathing out a sigh in relief that I made it. Well that was my work out for today I thought.
After my first three classes I went to lunch and sat by myself like usual. I didn't really fit in any of the groups and even if I did they wouldn't see me, no one even knows my name. That was until Keith Jacob sat next to me. I stared at him wondering why he was sitting with a nobody and many people looked our way.
He flashed his dazzling smile and said, "Jessica Williams, am I right?"
That is when everything went black.First chapter I hope you guys like it. I'll try to write some more later. Thanks for reading, bye! (:
