Chapter 2

Here comes another chapter

I wake up, hearing all kinds of beeps and noises, and see I'm in an hospital room. What happened, I think to myself. People barge in and I'm bombarded with questions such as:

"Do you remember what happened?"

"Do you know how long you were in a coma?"

"What was in like in a coma for so long?"

I shake my head, shocked by what they were telling me, and ask , "I was in a coma?"

All of the paparazzi and news writers were quickly escorted out and a small short lady came in.

"Hello dear. I'm gonna ask you some questions and see what you remember, okay? Then I'll know what I have to explain to you." The nurse said, her name tag said Candace.

I nodded my head, thankful someone was here to explain.

"What's your full name?" She asks.

"Jessica Williams." I quickly respond.

"Middle?"

"Kate," I pause for a moment and say, "Katherine."

She smilies and nods. "What's the last thing you remember?"

"Keith Jacobs sat by me and everything went black."

She looked at me funny for a second then said, "Well, your one of the longest people to be in a coma and wake up."

"How long have I been in a coma?" I ask, beginning to worry about all the schoolwork and chores.

"One year and eleven months. Your birthday is in twelve days so it's good you woke up for that." She says trying to brighten the mood.

My mouth drops open when she says that. ONE YEAR AND ELEVEN MONTHS, I scream in my head.

Theres a quick, soft knock at the door and the Candace is talking to another nurse nodding her head and whispering back.

"I'll give you some alone time." She says with a smile and walks out of the room.

As soon as she walks out Keith walks in with a nervous look on his face. I quickly come to the conclusion he has no idea what to say so I wave to him and try to smile politely.

But that wave was only the beginning.
