It had to be done, he said so himself.
"..I'm sorry, s-sweetheart."
( Father Name ) Imunlaukr huffed out, in his last words as he bled out.The sole heir to the Imunlaukr clan stood up as she saw her own father bleed out beneath her, turning around to leave him. She grabbed a bag and stuffed the necessary survival items, and lastly a folder her father left for her. Picking up a lantern, she poured out the flammable liquid out and lit a match. Burning the whole camp, her father's body, and the painful memories that it contained. The orange glow of the fire reflected in her eyes.
The hooves of horses was heard as the fire died out in the camp, a crowd had formed behind ( Y/N ) as she stood still at her doing with little to no remorse. A rather tall man had dismounted his horse and walked towards the scar-covered young lady. He turned to the destruction of the camp before moving his attention to her.
"..So he has finally decided."
He spoke to nobody."G-Grandmaster Varka..?"
One of the horse-mounted men stuttered out."Please, speak of this to no soul."
The Grandmaster turned to his men, he placed a hand on ( Y/N )'s shoulder."This was between me and Master ( Father Name ) Imunlaukr only."
The young lady turned to the much taller male, this was something she hadn't heard of, and her face projected it. This did not escape the Grandmaster's sight."I assume you haven't read his letter then? It's in the folder he left you, now come. From now on, you are a knight."
She tilted her head shortly before following Varka. Climbing onto a horse, whose rider was apparently another female knight, the Grandmaster commanded his troops."Move out!"
---------------------------------------------------------------
"Welcome to the camp, ( Y/N )."
The 'camp', more like a small village of tents, was now in front of the sole Imunlaukr survivor."..Has this been a long term plan between you and my father?"
The young lady questioned."You.. could say that. Your father's line of work isn't the safest, bringing you along with him placed you at risk."
The Grandmaster pinched the bridge of his nose."But, as you may have noticed, he wasn't himself."
( Y/N ) nodded slowly."I suggest you take a rest now, ( Y/N ). I'll have one of my knights to awake you at dusk for breakfast."
He smiled as he placed a hand on her shoulder.---------------------------------------------------------------
She opened up the folder her father left for her, and it was quite literally overflowing with documents. Picking a few up to read, they were all sorts of important documents. Whether it was about ownership of a land, the main Imunlaukr mansion, a house inside the walls of Mondstadt, and the list goes on.
"I suppose that's rather reasonable.."
( Y/N ) mumbled as she found her birth certificate and yet another paper with her father's name on it.Getting to the letter from her father, she ripped the envelope open and read the elegant handwriting she recognizes.
[ To my dearest daughter, ]
I'm sorry it had to go how it went, love. After your mother died, a group of unknown people had came to me and asked for my help. They wanted me to investigate on the circumstances that lead to her death, and it brought me down a dark path. I met dangerous individuals as I went, and I couldn't turn back.
