Hyejoo paced through the halls as she often did these days. She didn't care her legs could barely carry her anymore because of how badly she cared for herself these days. Pain was irrelevant.
She paced because she was trying to figure out what was happening. She was confused and scared, not only did she have to cope with all the things Solji did to her, but all the things Solji did to Chaewon. But even more so how Chaewon felt about her, if Chaewon was mad.
Sure, adjusting to life after losing a finger was hard, but adjusting to life knowing what Chaewon had been through was impossible.
At least she had the energy to walk through the house unlike how she felt a few weeks ago and she'd almost completely healed by now, things were getting better in those regards. Solji had given her a pretty bad concussion, for the first few weeks she'd found it hard to remember things, see straight, or even walk correctly, but eventually the effects faded away.
That must have been why she was so eager to walk again and collect her thoughts. She had to figure this out, she didn't have another option.
Still, Hyejoo's appetite was barely there. She didn't know if it was nerves, depression, or just lingering systems of being concussed, but somehow it was very difficult to keep food down. Since she was suffering from malnutrition, she lacked the same energy she had months prior. But she kept walking.
Hyejoo stared down at her now bony legs and mangled hand. Things hadn't been this bad for her in quite some time. She was emaciated, so obviously sick, but nobody really seemed to care. Of course, Yerim was grieving over the loss of Heejin and Sooyoung appeared to be on could 9 ever since Solji's death. Everybody was too preoccupied in their own business to help.
That was except for Jiwoo. However, the more time Jiwoo spent with Sooyoung the less she seemed to be close with Hyejoo. It was odd.
Jiwoo was rather distressed with Hyejoo's current state of being, that was until Sooyoung would call her over to celebrate Solji's death and then she'd be once again, left to wither and decay all by herself.
Hyejoo knew Heejin would have cared. Even if Heejin liked to mock Hyejoo, or get angry with her for no apparent reason, she did care deeply for Hyejoo even if they had their differences.
"Yeah... just please don't tell her,"
Hyejoo heard Sooyoung talk in a low voice. "I can't believe you did that... Sooyoung why..." That voice must have belonged to Jiwoo, Hyejoo pressed her ear against the door to Sooyoung's bedroom. "Because... she never listened to me, she was always so defiant, always trying to act like she knew what was best. And what else could I have done? Forced her off the team? She'd tell everyone everything about me,"
"I guess..." Jiwoo sighed. "But I'll miss Heejin,"
Hyejoo took a step back. They were talking about Heejin. Sooyoung did something. Sooyoung was mad at Heejin. Sooyoung must have...
Hyejoo cupped her hands over her mouth, stumbling back to her bedroom. Sooyoung killed Heejin. Sooyoung killed Heejin because Heejin was trying to get Hyejoo to rebel against her.
She'd never felt so nauseous in her life as her stomach flipped around. She didn't have anything in her stomach to throw up besides acid, which burnt her throat as she coughed it up into her sink. She'd removed the mirror off her medicine cabinet after Chaewon left her, she couldn't bare to look at herself anymore.
She was so thankful she did that, because she would have hated looking at herself at this moment. It was especially good because her face was now coated in drool, stomach fluids, and snot, but she couldn't find the energy to clean her face, there wasn't really a point.
