Chapter 3: A Visit to Magnolia

At the valley
Lunaria's POV

"Paying a visit to Magnolia?" I asked. "Yes, I've heard rumors that a guild called Fairy Tail is somewhere in that place. And there is a certain someone that I would like to meet again..." Igneel explained. "You mean you're having a reunion with an old friend of yours?!" I asked excitedly. "Yeah, something like that.... Anyway, that means I won't be coming here for awhile." He said in slightly disappointed voice... I think.... "Oh, don't worry!" I reassured him. "Huh?" He looked confused, making me giggle. "Because I'm coming sith you!" I exclaimed, making him dumbfounded. "What? You think you can go visit a city while leaving me here all alone? Nope, not a chance! Whether you like it or not, I'm coming with you!" And so I went to grabbed his hand went to exit of the forest.

(Outside Magnolia)
No One's POV

After walking for awhile, they reached the outside of Magnolia. "Wow! This place looks so lively!" Lunaria exckaimed & looked around. The she spotted a huge building with an insignia on it. "That's where you're going, right Igneel?" She asked while pointing to the direction of the building. Igneel nodded in response. In an instant Lunaria raced towards the building, with Igneel trying to catch up.

Igneel's POV

Why is she so excited?! And where the hell did she get all her energy from? I ran following her. Then, we reached a busy street. Lunaria stopped running & stared in awe. Right, I forgot. She lived in the forest eversince she could remember. Of course she doesn't what a town looks like. Seeing that she won't be budging. I grabbed her hand & we went down the street. Soon, we reached our destination. Man, these guys sure are rowdy. I could hear their voices from miles away! I opened the door & the everyone went silent. Then they started whispering to one another. "Who's that guy?" "I dunno." "He's quite handsome too, actually." "Look at the girl behind him." She's cute!" "Look at her beautiful, crystal blue eyes...." "Yeah..." "SILENCE!!!" A loud voice said. I turned towards the owner of the voice & found a very short, old man. "Are you the guild master?" I asked him. "Yes. My name is Master Macarov." He introduced himself. "May I ask, why is The King of The Flame Dragons doing here in Magnolia?" He asked. The other guild members had their mouth hanging open. "I'm suprised that you recognised me. Yes, I am The King of The Flame Dragons, Igneel." I calmly said. Then a certain pink haired boy came to me.

"Natsu, I see you've grown. Nice to see you again." I greeted. Natsu cried hos heart out & hugged me. "DAD!" He exclaimed. I patted his head. "Don't tell me you're still a crybaby after all this years, Natsu." I said to him.

Lunaria's POV

I watched as the two had their reunion. Igneel had a very kind expression on his face. He must be really happy to be reunited with his son. Then the boy named Natsu, if I'm not mistaken, broke the hug & started firing questions at Igneel. "Where have you been? Why did disappeared that day? What did left without telling me? Why did had to go?" He asked while tears still falling. Then the guildmaster patted Natsu's shoulder. "Now, now Natsu. I'm sure your father had a very good reason why left but for now, how about we celebrate you & your father's reunion?" Then the others cheered. They all started partying while Natsu & Igneel went to make up lost time.

I sat at a table far end of the guild. I've been all alone all my life that I don't how to react when there's so much people. Then a certain honey blond girl came to me. "Hello! I'm Lucy Heartfillia. Nice to meet you!" She then hold out her hand for a handshake. I then hesitantly shook her hand. "Nice to meet you too..." I quietly replied to her. "What's your name?" She asked me. "L-Lunaria Starlight..." I told her shyly. I'm still not used to this! "You have a pretty name, Lunaria! Reminds me of the stars." She exclaimed while smilling brightly at me. "Thank you so much, Heartfillia-san..." I thanked her. "Now, now. No need for formalities! Just call me Lucy or Lu-chan!" She happily said to me. I was shocked. For her to be so friendly to someone she never met, how nice of her... "L-L-Lucy-chan..." I have no idea why I'm like this! I'm always cheerful around Igneel. I wanna be cheerful here too but for some reason, I can't!

"Kawaii!!! You're so cute, Luna-chan!" She exclaimed. "L-Luna-chan?" I questioned. "You don't mind me calling you that, do you?" She smiled, making me smile as well. "Not at all..." I said to her. Then a long wavy white haired woman, short blue haired girl, twin tailed electric blue haired girl, a long scarlet haired woman & long wavy blue haired woman came to us. "Who is this, Lucy?" The scarlet haired woman asked Lucy. "This is Lunaria Starlight! She came here with Igneel." She explained. "Nice to meet you, Lunaria. I'm Erza Scarlet. This is Mirajane Strauss, Levy McGarden, Wendy Marvel & Juvia Lockser." She introduced. "Nice to meet you, Luna-chan!/Lunaria-san!" They all greeted. "Nice to meet you all as well..." I greeted back. "She's a shy one, isn't she?" Mirajane stated. "She's shy now. Wait until you know her better, you won't believe she's the same shy girl that you first met." A voice said.

Lucy's POV

I turned towards the voice & found that it was Igneel! "Though it is strange when I first met her she was already energetic & cheerful. I guess she's not used to crowds." He stated. Ooohhh.... No wonder she's so quiet. Then Natsu, being a dense idiot he is, challenged Igneel to a duel. "Igneel, fight me!!!" Igneel agreed the fight was held outside the guild. And as expected, Natsu was defeated with only one blow. We sweatdropped. "Anyway, Luna-chan, can you tell us a bit about yourself?" Levy asked her, making us eager to hear what she has to say. "Well, I live alone in the forest. I don't have any friends before I met Igneel, excluding the animals that lives in the forest. And umm... I guess that's all." She said. "You live alone, Lunaria-san?" Wendy asked, confirming what she just said. Lunaria nodded. "I don't have a family, or at least I don't remember having one." She stated with a sad smile. "Juvia thinks Lunaria-san must be lonely all this time." Juvia said.

"Well, it isn't that bad. I'm quite used to it." She said as she smiled. "Don't you have any family memebers, Luna-chan?" Levy-chan asked her, making her look down & frown. "I-I don't know...." She said, holding back sobs. "What do you mean, you don't know?" Erza asked. "I was left in the forest since I was very young. I don't remember anything before I found myself in the forest." She said as she tears rolled down her cheek. I hugged her. "I'm sorry, Luna-chan..." She just cried in my arms.

Then I heard hands clapping. "Now, now. Let's stop all of this dramatic scenes & have fun." Cana said. Luna-chan broke the hug & wiped her tears. "Why not? Shining Starlight! (A/N: It's made up.)" She casted & in an instant starlight shone throughout the guild. Everyone watched in awe. Everyone started to enjoy themselves when Natsu & Gray started fighting again. Igneel laughed at the sight of the two boys. Lunaria just giggled.

(Outside the guild)
Lunaria's POV

"Goodbye! Thanks for coming!" Mirajane bid as all of them waved. Natsu came running to Igneel to hug him for the last time for now. They broke the hug & exchange grins. I smiled at the sight of the both of them. Then, Levy came running to me. "We'll miss you, Luna-chan!" She exclaimed after tackling me. I was shocked, but slowly I smiled. I hugged her back. "I'll miss all of you too..." I said & she broke the hug then wiped the tears in the corner of her eyes. She helped me stood up & we both smiled. I quickly catch up to Igneel who had already walked away. I turned around & smiled at the whole guild that was waving goodbye. I waved back. "UNTIL NEXT TIME FAIRY TAIL!!!" I shouted as we both disappeared from sight.

We went back to the forest. By the time we reached a cliff that shows off the horizon, it was already sunset. The view was beautiful. The wind blew as we both watch the sun sets. "Thank you, Lunaria." Igneel said while turning to me. "For what?" I asked as I turned to him. "For everything. For saving me, for accompanying me & for being with me." He said as he looked at my crystal blue eyes. I blushed as I looked down. "Y-your welcome..." I said embarassingly. Then, he pulled my chin up & he came closer & closer.... I slowly closed my eyes.
