Love is an interesting thing that happens to human beings. There are different roles of love, everyone has experienced it at some in their life but if you ask them what is love, they'll all give you different answers.

I'll answer from my experience. When there is a special someone that you deeply care for them, you see all there flaws and mistakes and it doesn't bother you. When you do whatever it takes to make them laugh or smile. That is love. Loving them unconditionally and for who they are.

I would say I'm in that position however the person I care about probably doesn't feel the same way.

Jackson is the guy I was talking about, my guy best friend. And the only guy friend I actually have. You see I think guys have a problem with me because they never talk to me. Maybe I'm too shy but when I'm with Jackson I can truly be myself and he will not judge me.
Jackson has been one of my best friends for the past 2 years. However, because he is a guy and my friend I have some difficulty seeing him as a friend and more. His smile and laugh make me have butterflies in my stomach. Ugh, it's so hard to not catch feelings for him when he's so nice to me.

Every day after school I and Jackson would always go to the park and study together. However, today was a special occasion because it was his birthday.

I had everything set up of the things we were going to do. I was super excited to see him, even though I saw him every day at school. When I'm with him it makes me happy.

I see Jackson coming inside the restaurant, I quickly waved at him and he sees me. His smile makes my heart melt. It's so adorable. He comes removes his coat and takes a seat in front of me.

"Hey Rose, how are you?"

"I'm good oh and happy birthday, 19 wow I can't believe you're getting old!" I laughed

"Haha well the older the wiser I am, which means that I'm way smarter than you"

"Sure" I rolled my eyes.

After eating at the restaurant we spent the whole evening going to the fair and played go-karts and mini-games.

"JACKSON, WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!?!" I yelled while playfully hitting his arm as he beat me at the finish line.

"Hahaha, that's cause I have my license not like someone who can't pass there L test!" He teased.

I make a face to him and he just laughs. This was our last activity before going back home.

"Wow, I had so much fun today, thank you Rose for this. I really enjoyed it!" He says bucking his seat belt.

"You're welcome, Jackson. I'm glad that I was able to spend your special day with you!" I smiled

On the drive back to my house I could feel my cheeks flushed and my body getting warm knowing that he was beside me. Even though I was with him the whole day, being with him in the night felt different. As I rewind the scenes from today. The way he was helping me get in the kart and gave me his jacket because I was cold. All those small gestures he did made me smile.

"Rose we you okay?" Jackson asks. He must have seen me smiling for no reason and thought I was tired or something.

"Umm yeah I'm good, I'm just thinking"

"Okay just wanting to make sure you're okay"

See this is what I was saying! Why do you have to be so nice to me? I know I'm your friend but..... It's making me hard not to fall for you. For your smile, and the big heart that you have. Oh I wish I could tell you that I want you more than a friend but I can't.

What am I going to do.....?
