Katniss pov

I head to my foster home. There is a car in the driveway.that's odd. I walk into  the...... Then my eyes land on him I freeze." Hello Katniss" my 'dad's says.I gulp." What is he doing here!" I ask harshly. " I'm here to take you home, sweetie" his voice is dipped in venom but covered in honey.
I want to gag! I slowly back up to the door. He walks towards me. I grab the handle and jump out the door. I run as fast as I can. I don't know where I'm going. Soooooooooo I just run. I run,run and run until I collapse on some concrete in a ally way. I look around. Nobody.GOOD. I huddle in the corner.
Why is he here?!?!?!?! Can't he leave me alone!?! Of course not! He has to take me back!. Great! NOT!!!!!! Maybe I should run away or die. I don't know. I really don't have any anybody except my friends. I guess. I get up and head to Annie's house. I walk/jog to her house. I knock on the door. It opens and Annie steps out. "Hey katniss what are you doing here?" "Ummm...... well, my 'dad' showed up and sed I have to go home with him. He sed to the court .that he was depressed and drinks to lower it. And he Also sed the drinks make him beat me. But when he wasn't drunk he still beat me. So now I'm wondering if I could stay here for a week until I can get away. Do you think i can stay here for a week? Maybe?""ummmmmm....... Sher katniss. But you can't tell my parents.ok? I will hide you in my room and bring you food and water." "Yes! I will not tell your parents. Please just hide me!" " Ok come on. My parents are out so don't worry." We head up stairs.

Annie pov

Nock,nock,nock! "Commimg!" I open the door and katniss is standing there. "Hey katniss what are you doing here?""Ummm...... well, my 'dad' showed up and sed I have to go home with him. And blah,blah,blah. We are head up stairs. I show her my room. Poor katniss. I wander where she is going to go? I grab my phone and call clove.
(Bold is Annie )
"Hey! Annie how my I help you?"
"Well katniss is in some kinda trouble and she needs help. So I was wandering if you can come over tomorrow?"
"Ummmmm....... Sher. Hold on. " there's talking in the background.
"Sorry about that. Yes I can come over tomorrow. Can Cato come over?"
"No! It only can be you! This is privet! I don't mean to be rude but this can only be with you me and katniss. So please tell him no!. Please this is important."
"Ok I'll be there. By"
"Ok, by"
I hang up and go to the kitchen.  I make a sandwich and a glass of ginger ale. I head to my bedroom. "Hey katniss are you doing ok?" "Ya just a lot on my mind."here I brought you a sandwich and some ginger ale. I hope you don't mind.""I don't mind. Thank you very much.""your welcome. You should get some sleep." I reach the bottom of the stairs just as my parents open the door."hey sweetie!" My mum said. Hey mum, hey pop!"
After they gabb about there safe. I head to bed. Katniss is asleep on the bed and I don't have the heart to wake her up. So I grab a extra sleeping bag and lay it on the floor. I lock the door and lay down and go to sleep.

Katniss pov

After she leaves I eat my sandwich and drink the juice. I lay down on the bed and close my eyes. Where should I go? Should I stay alive? What will happen to me? With those thoughts I drift of to sleep.
