Chapter 6

*Still in the future*

Blaze had barely made it inside the door when patters of feet hurdled towards her. The twins had wrapped themselves around her sides and weren't showing signs of letting go.

"Hey you two." Blaze said and ruffled both their heads. The twins looked up and Hope smiled but then removed it.

"We missed you so much, sis. We thought you weren't coming back." They spoke in unison and the huggs got tighter. Mark was still standing in the doorway, shock was written all over him. Both Daniel and Jessie had made it down and welcomed the girl home.

"It's been a while Blaze. You look great." Daniel hugged dragging the twins back with him. Jessie just smiled and hugged but shook her head Mark.

"Geez is he gonna be standing there all night." Jessie whipped out some bad luck towards him and he snapped out of it. Mark jumped on the spot and turned around. He rubbed his head and smiled goofily.

"Yeah, I'm coming," They all started to walk in. "Wait. Can I speak with Blaze for a sec." Mark suddenly announced and she stayed in her spot. Danny picked up her cases and carried them inside. The door closed and Mark walked towards the waters edge. Blaze followed and sat on the rocks.

"Mark, I know I shouldn't have left. But I control my feelings and I know that isn't a good enough reason. What I am trying to say is let's be friends and siblings again?" Blaze explained herself but could feel the tension from him. He looked towards the city and felt his anger rise.

"I forgive you, I understand what you were going through. I just what us to return to us. We could be together again." Mark sat down and grabbed Blaze's hand trying to look into her eyes. But she just looked away. She knew Danny hadn't told Mark about going back to save the girls.

"Mark you don't understand. I should really tell you why I am here." She turned towards Mark and squeezed his hand back. "Danny called me back here so I can go back to the past and help out the girls. I won't be here for long. I really want to build our relationship up again. But maybe after this is cleared up." Mark really felt like he was going to blow a fuse. He rushed out towards the tower and you knew a fight was coming. Blaze was still there and sighed. Maybe things would never be the same.
