The future of us (A Teen Titans Fanfiction)

Chapter 5

                      ***In the future***

Narrator's POV

The sky over Jump City were a sight to be seen. First they were blue with white clouds but kept changing to orange with black clouds. The citizens of the city were told to stay inside in case something big happens. And if that wasn't enough, the titans were also losing control over their powers. The tower was in a mess, everyone's powers kept going off without warning. If this still doesn't convince you then all the kids were thasing in and out of reality starting off with the youngsters. If the main ops room stood Danny looking out of the window towards the wrecked but not wrecked city. He could hear heavy footsteps coming towards him and smiled when the door opened. 

"You were always heavy-footed." Danny looked the reflection of the window. A pale girl around 18 with pink hair in pigtails and a very unhappy expression on her face but when their eyes connected her expression softened. 

"Yeah and you were always a great listener. How have you been Danny?"

"Fine and you, Jessie?"

"You should know the answer." Danny frowned at the response and turned to face her straight in the eyes.She was across the room in seconds. He walked past her to the table and picked up a file. He beckoned her over. 

"Ah so the power problems were true so I guess sending Mariana and your sisters over is true to?" Danny only answered with a nod. Their situation was very awkward. They had dated before but both decided to wait until they were older however he could sense the love she had for him powers or  no powers. 

"Yeah we had no choice. I trust them to complete the mission and if not I have a plan B. Have you and Jackson settled in yet? Sorry about having to share a room."

"Yeah we have, Mom and Dad are worried but both agreed this was a safer place. But my brother was very upset to hear Snow had left." Jessie laughed out loud, her shoulders shaking and her red highlights showing through.

"Well you have to tell that boy, that Snow is off limits." Danny passed over the file. "I wanted you to read it first, Alex is handling our parents so your next in command." Jessie took the file and scanned over it, the frown returning to its original place. She closed the file and tossed it back on the table. Her arms crossed over her chest.

"You really think she will help. She left 3 years ago with your brother's broken heart. She may be powerful but do you think she will come back? I think its too risky and to think of another plan."

"You may be right but at the moment none of us can go back now. If we do, we may die on the way there and to bring us back then the Titans and the girls will have to win. Its to much pressure." Danny sighed and rubbed his sore eyes. "I know its risky but I know she will come because I have already called her and she is on her way." 

"What?!?!? You can't be serious. What happens when they meet?" 

"We will have to wait and see." Danny got up and walked back to the window but stopped by Jessie. "You know people could've said the same thing about us." The awkward atmosphere had now returned.

                                                                          ****Outside******

A girl with long brown hair and eyes stopped by the doors and pressed the bell. She wanted to help her family out, she wanted to repay the kindness that she received from them. 

"Coming!" A loud voice could heard coming down the stairs. She heard the doors open and saw the face she had to depart but always missed and loved. His face dropped his smile and starred straight into her eyes. 

"Blaze." She then hugged him, her arms wrapping around his neck. His slowly wrapping around her waist.

"It has been a while, hasn't it Mark? I have missed you so much."
