Chapter 4

"You finally came my sweet cheeks," Eva said softly. I didn't answer, but I noticed Kidd behind me.

"(Y/n), who is she?" Kidd asked while having Liz and Patty ready pointed at the witch.

"She's....... Eva," I said with a gloomy face as Eva interrupted.

"Now isn't this touching~! You have fear in your eyes (y/n) and it looks like that kid over there is making it worse with his presence, no?" Eva laughed.

I backed up to Kidd and whispered,"Why are you here?" He didn't answer. Probably because he didn't trust Eva's moves, so he kept his eyes on her. I wouldn't either. Of course I wouldn't, I have known her for my whole..... entire..... life. I started to shake from remembering.

FLASHBACK

"P-p-please.... stop!" I huffed with bruises on my wrists, back, arms, and legs. My back was being whipped by the whip one of Eva's servants was using. I was chained to a bloody, stone wall. My wrists and ankles ached all over that the whip felt like it was nothing. I started to go numb on my back and scars got worse. This time I bet I needed stitches.

Blood. No more. No more pain and blood!

I got whacked one hard one on the top near my neck. I coughed up blood, and I cradled in a ball shaking like I was having a seizure. The chains only made the aches worse. "Why are you doing this to me?!"

"Ha! You ask why?! You disobeyed my orders!! You didn't kill that human!!"

"I don't kill innocent people!" Eva took the whip from the servant and started to whack me me even harder than before.

"You think you're one of them?! You're not! You're a nobody! You're not human or anything! You weren't wanted by your parents, so they disappeared from your sight!" A tear slid down my cheek.

"At least I have emotions unlike you!" I spit on her shoes. She looked up at me. Then she turned around and grabbed a small bag harshly, and she took a pinch of green dust and sprinkled it on me.

"I'll just cast a spell on you, deary. After that, I'll have control over you forever until I die. Which will be NEVER! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD I'M IMMOTRTAL!" Her wicked laugh echoed the cave as I had no longer control of my body and mind.

"(y/n)!" Kidd' s yell went through my mind causing the flashback to end.

"Sorry!... Ah.. you shouldn't be here! Go away!" I forcefully pushed him out until I heard Eva's slow.... wicked clap.

"What a wonderful performance! And I feel proud that you remembered that I can control you!..... Now let go of that boy and come over here." Her voice so serious and dark as she reeled her finger in that was indicating for me to come to her.

"Stop, (y/n)! I won't let you take her!" He looked directly at her dark eyes which had red bangs fall slightly in front of it. Her big hood made her darkness illuminate around her, creating an evil aura. As he continued staring at her waiting for a move, she rose her hand. Green sparkles flew from fingers as it went towards the scared me. The green magic flew around me in a spiral and ventured its way into my head. Goodbye...

What? Why am I not being controlled? Kidd' s hand was over my head, and he had a serious expression as his eyes were sealed.

"W-W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! MY MAGIC! NO! STOP! IT'S DISAPPEARING!" This time Eva's eyes were wide with small pupils as sweat trailed from her pale skin on her forehead to her chin.
