Chapter 3 - "Act Together"

Avneet's Pov:

"You both will take part right?" Sir asked at the end, and we both looked at each other and confusingly nodded yes.

"Don't worry, you can ask in your home today and inform tomorrow" the social science teacher said and we nodded and said a yes, without any confusion this time.

"I shall tell you about the story and the character right now, about yours too" she said to us and everyone nodded.

Remember sir said both of us to visit him, we were here. He said that he wanted us both to be in a Act which will be performed on Independence day. Every other here was our seniors, let me tell you siddharth was here too, and let's not focus on any other person now.

"So like I already said, it's going to be act of soldier. Like decided at first siddharth is going to be the soldier. And we would need some other boys as friends who are also soldiers, a enemy group, somebody as his mother, and as his sister and his wife" Mam said again. She was kind of grouping boys into the soldier's friends group and enemie's group. My heart was kinda beating fast, what if they make me play his sister role, I know its just a act but still I have to call him brother and he have to call me sister infront of whole school, holy shit!

"I'll pray for you" Krupa whispered. I took a deep breath and smiled sarcastically at her, and stopped smiling and made a pleading face, "please do" she chuckled.

"and now the sister role" Sir said and I breath hitched.

"hmm, Avneet or krupa?" mam suggested and I felt like my heart beat stopped. "No, we need someone younger, and they both don't look so small and moreover they won't look like siblings" Sir said and I let out a breath I didn't knew I was holding.

"we should call someone from the lower primary's for that role, let's skip for that now" Mam said and he nodded.

"Now the roles left are of his mother and wife" he said to her and they both looked at us. I was biting my lip weirdly to control myself from smiling. And I noticed everyone in the room was looking at us, c'mon people that's creepy and hella awkward.

"Okay Krupa as his wife and Avneet as his mother" Sir said after they both quite discussed. We nodded, and I tried hard not to pout. Krupa smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"we'll start practicing from tomorrow, you can go now" Sir said "wait I'll just write down your names" he said again and we stood. He wrote our names along with the characters we are playing. I had a not so noticeable frown on my face all the time.

We left after and they went to show the list to vice principal mam.

"YES, let's drink together" I said to vii loudly so he could hear me as I was sleeping with my head on desk and my hand around. Their desk was just infront of us, it was last period and the teacher was absent. He was talking to Krupa about the act and he was faking his sadness, telling how she betrayed and he wanted to drink to soothe his not so real pain.

As I said that Krupa, vii and along with the two boys sitting beside him started laughing. "Awh baby! Don't cry, I forgot about you" vii said and as he once patted my head I jerked it and they started laughing. I rolled my eyes and tried not to sleep as they continued their chit chats, sometimes Krupa and vii with their cute talks. They are the cutest together, I sometimes call him jeex and no matter how he tries to tell me not to call him that, he loves that and he blushes too and thats cute.

Next day:

We are standing here again infront of our PT sir and social science mam, and today along with them we have our vice principal maam.

"A bit change of roles, Avneet will play as his wife and krupa as mother. Both of you don't look like a mother from any angle and for avneet it's way too far. She looks like too small you know what I am saying right" vice princi said and krupa nodded along with me. I tried hard to control my laugh and smile at the same time.

"okay you guys can start with the practicing now, I'll take my leave" she said and left. The teachers left too saying that they will bring the script sheet.

"your cue to start working out" I said and smirked widely at Krupa. She just hit my stomach with her elbow. Damn, that hurts! I held my stomach and looked away glaring at her, only to find aarav smirking at me. Did I mention earlier, he was in this too?

I raised my eyebrows at him and he just eyed siddharth. I rolled my eyes controlling my blush. The thing is we were chatting and I said about me having a crush on him and also made sure to threaten him so he wouldn't tell anyone.

The rest of the time went with us practicing.

"Take! bills on me" vii said keeping his water bottle infront of me and acting as if it was a beer bottle since the bottle looked like one.

I crossed my legs and put a hand around Krupa's shoulder and smiled "maybe your girlfriend needs it, give it to her" I said and he raised his eyebrow.

"Switch of roles, I am playing the role of his wife and her as my mother in law. Since the vice princi said she is kinda fat and looks like one" I said eyeing Krupa and kissing her cheeks just to receive another punch from her, I groaned.

"well she was true tho" he muttered opening his bottle, she glared at him and he smiled nervoulsy. "well victory party then, I am happy and you are probably on cloud nine" he said as he held his bottle up for cheers. I blushed and opened my water bottle and acted like clinking with his bottle and Krupa did the same and we ended up laughing after taking a sip.
