Chapter 6 - "Addy thing"

"I don't have the energy to pretend to like you everyday!"

Avneet's POV:

Maybe it's not always how you think it is, or should it really be like that? You can just expect certain things to be certain way, but it may meet your expectations and may not,  you are no one to complain!

It's been two weeks since we moved to California, and we share the same dorm, which is the first best thing or last to say, for now! It's been hectic to adjust to the weather, food, and basically every other stuffs!

We went to the college the other day, for some necessities. We stopped by the nearest beach to watch the sunset, and, boy, what a  splendid view was it. Maybe it's the only thing I live for, here!!

It's Monday today, which brings the first day of college, and also brings the start to no-break-4-years of my life! Let's get ready!!!

I wake kripa up, go to finish my morning chores. Kripa goes in once I come back after taking a shower.

I put on a flared Jean, with a crop top and a jacket with it. Tie my hair up in an half ponytail, apply little just a little makeup, and finish it with some lipgloss. I haven't always been so fond of makeup, but I like it, not like I completely despise it.

I went towards my locker, once we got the timetable. We had our lockers far, and we didn't had any classes together. What a great start!!

I kept my bag inside the locker, and took a book for the first class, which was of operations management. I closed my locker, and my eyes not-so-intentionally fell on the locker beside mine, which was decorated with a happy birthday sign on it. I shrugged and was about to go, when I heard silence for a second, and in the very next second, the students around me strated screaming.

I looked around to find a girl, who kinda looked my age, or maybe not, with blonde hair, her outfit straight outta runway, with freshly made manicure, and needle pointed heels, yes they were that pointed!

"Addy, wohoo"
"Happy birthday Addy!"
"It's party time"
"Addy, I love you"

The crowd went wild. Damn Addy? Looks like she is senior.

I was so into observing her, that I didn't observe that she already came beside me, and from what I assume, she was the birthday girl whose locker was decorated beside mine. Popular much? I scoffed and just was about to cross them, when her friends came to her, nudging me. LIKE ME? ME!!!

"Excuse me!" I said as much as soft I could possibly say.

"Oh, make it habitual you little kid" somebody among them, who was wearing a tight little black skirt, and a white crop with a jacket, whose hairs were tied up into a ponytail, choed. I took a deep breath.

" Or maybe you should get your eyes checked, and maybe I can even pay the bill?" The crowd went silent, and I heard a flash. There was this creepy guy taking a picture of us. I got annoyed, but didn't say anything.

"Well who's this? Whats your name?" That Addy thing said, coming forward and keeping her hand on one of the girls shoulder. I stayed silent glaring them.

"Interesting character I guess, first year?" She asked again. I nodded. "Then you should ask about us little kidd-" that girl again spoke, and I interrupted "It's Avneet!"

"Ohio, an Indian in here people. We will leave you just because it's your  first time, go to your class" That Addy thing patted my cheeks, which I jerked off.  And went to my class almost after getting lost.

What an vicious headaces for God sake!

I'm pissed off right now, due to that vicious-blonde-head, and my best friend is talking to her boyfriend.

"Shhh, keep it in your pants" I said to her for the nth time, when she was giggling and flirting with him. She rolled her eyes at me.

I feel so single right now! Oh, how can I forget about the boyfriend I had in 12th. The worst decision I had ever made, I'm better of without this thing right now for God sake.

When she finally finished of her flirting session, we got up and started walking towards the exit, when i accidentally bumped into someone, the books in both of our hands fell down.

"I'm so so sorr- " I looked at his face, FUCK!

Did I miss something?
