Portal Problem

Chapter 4 - Prey

(Name) thanked the bus driver and then stepped off the steep steps. The door closed with a loud eerie screech!Pft, and then drove off to it's next destination. (Name) walked along the silent cracked side walk, avoiding the wet spots where water gathered up from the rain. (Name) broke the silence,

" So, today was interesting, wasn't it..."

" I suppose so, but please don't let them near me."

"Darcy and Nichole?"

"No, just everyone else."

(Name) did agree that she had to keep a better eye on him. How did she lose him in the first place? She wondered how Newton felt whenever he was lost...so she asked,

"Newton, how did you feel when I wasn't in sight? Like, to stop other people from hurting you..."

" In general, I don't like being separated from my good chum's. Like SackGirl."

(Name) took hold of Newton and sat him on her shoulder, protected by the hoodie on her jacket so he wouldn't fall. She thought that he would get a better view of the natural neighborhood, for him to see the glimmer of the sun reflecting off of the water droplets of the tree's, to see reality. She was right, and he thought it was glorious. He was outstanded by all the things in her world. So many simple things that are actually advanced viewings of reflecting light bouncing off of objects... he was amazed. He wanted to learn more. (Name) walked up her front steps and opened the somewhat jammed door. She kicked off her shoes and ran upstairs. She plopped down on her bed and equipped her sketching equipment, and started to draw.

The flower turned, facing the direction of (Name) and Newton, who was still on her shoulder, watching her draw the imagisphere. The wait of the petals on an unsupported side of the vase made the flower, along with the flower pot, come crashing down, alerting (Name) and Newton.

"What was that?" they said in sync.

(Name) set aside her book and went over to inspect the sound, but whenever she got in the proximity of foot near it, she was bolted to the side of her room, leaving a ginormous dent in her wall. She slid down the wall sitting, and fell over.(Name) was left lying on the floor, passed out by the extreme force put on her all at once. Newton watched as the three titans rose from the flower. Newton remembered the fear, regret, and troubles he had caused. Terrified, Newton slapped (Name) in the face with all his might. " (Name)!!! Wake up! Something has gone terribly wrong!"
