Danny was sitting at his desk playing a game when I walked into our room. He had on his classic outfit for playing games at home. A pair of light grey sweatpants matched with a cheap anime tee-shirt. I stood in the doorway leaning against the doorframe watching Danny play a childish game on his computer. I held back many laughs while watching him play his silly game. At some point, I'm not sure when I started to notice that he clenched his jaw every time he almost died. My eyes always seemed to wander to him. I would be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy the view. I had to force myself to look away from his pretty face. My eyes danced around our room looking at nothing in particular but then something caught my eyes. There were these black cat ears sitting on top of our dresser. I got them way back when we just started dating. That had to be two years or so. I got the cat ears as a joke because of his cosplay. I walked into the room up to the cat ears to check them out once again. I didn't notice that he had noticed me until I heard his voice.
"How long have you been in here?" He asked as he turned to face me.
"long enough to witness you die at least 10 times," I said as I grabbed the cat ears from the dresser.
"So not long at all,"He turned his chair back around to face the monitor. He laughed at himself for how much he sucked at the childish game. It was funny to see him lose at such a simple game. He could play more complex games with no problem so it made no sense for him to fail at this one.
I stepped away from the dresser with the cat ears in hand. I made sure to be almost silent as I did so because I had a pretty good plan. Danny was focusing on not dying so I thought I had the perfect chance to slip the cat ears on his head. Danny had other plans. He spun around in his chair really fast. He looked down at my hand holding that cat ears. He looked back up at me and gave me a puzzling look. I had to think fast and act cool doing so.
"Look what I have," I said as I swung the cat ears back and forth in front of his face. Yes, this should work perfectly.
"I forgot we had these. Why did you think I would be a good cat boy in the first place?" He said as he grabbed the ears out of my hand and inspected them further. He didn't suspect a thing I played it off nicely.
"I didn't think you would make a good cat boy I thought you would make a cute cat boy. Clearly two different things," I said while rolling my eyes and flipping my hair back like it was such an obvious answer.
He slipped the car ears onto his head while looking at me. The headband pushed all of his hair back beside a few short pieces that fell out. He looked up at me with those god damn eyes. He always gets me with those eyes. "Am I cute to you Y/N?" he asked as his hands wrapped around my hips and pulled me forward. I wanted to say to him that he had to be dumb to ask a question like that. Of course, you're cute. I came up with a different response.
"I think your adorable Danny!" I leaned down and kissed his cheek. His fingertips dug into my skin lightly when I pulled away. He never liked only receiving one kiss. At a minimum, it had to be three kisses in a row.
"I wouldn't use the word adorable but maybe the word handsome, pretty, attractive, or even perfect," He drug out the "per" in perfect as if he was a cat. It made my shake my head as I let a wide smile come across my face
"Maybe I won't talk to you tonight," I giggle at his silliness. I turned around and went to walk out of the door when his hands that rested on my hips pulled me back. He sat me on his lap.
"Where do you think you're going? I made a good joke and you want to leave, god so disrespectful," When he let out a small chuckle his breath tickled my neck.
"Good joke? I don't know if i would call it that,"
"What would you call it darling?" He asked as he rested his head on the back of my shoulder.
"If I told you what I would call it would you be mad?" I pulled my hand up to play with his hair that was covering my left shoulder.
"You didn't answer my question," His voice was muffled behind me. I got off his lap and stood in front of him. He looked up at me probably wondering why I was standing up all of the sudden.
"Why did you get up?" He asked while trying to pull at my waist so i will sit back down.
"Because its hard to kiss someone when your sitting on there lap and there head is on your shoulder," I pointed out even tho I just wanted to go lay on the couch and read.
"That is true," He said while he stood up in front of me. He snaked his hand from my waist to the side of my face. I pushed my head into the palm of his hand and looked him in the eyes. I knew I looked cute like this.
"I love you Y/N," he said as he kissed the top of my head.
"I love you too," He kept his lips pressed against my head as I spoke.
"Danny I wanted a kiss," I said as he pulled back from my forehead.
"I did kiss you,"
"I know but I wanted a real kiss," I said as I leaned in and kissed his lips. He pulled my waist into his as we continued to kiss each other. I wrapped my arms around his neck and intertwined my fingers in his hair pulling at the hair causing him to moan against my lips. I pushed my hand further up in his hair right behind where the cat ears sat. I grabbed them off his head and pulled away from the kiss. He looked at me confused as I pushed the headband on my head.
