(To sound like I know what I'm talking about, specifically the Sakura tree I'm referring about is the Prunus Serrulata.)
(Day 3)

Nagito was walking to the Sakura tree until he saw Izuru was there, was he late? Nagito made sure he was always there minutes early, not even daring to make Izuru wait.

"I'm so sorry Kamukura! Terribly sorry that I made you wait!"

Running full speed he sat at the other side of the tree, opposite from Izuru still pleading for forgiveness. Only to stop where he felt something on his cheek.

"Don't you dare open your eyes, I'm only doing this just for you to calm down."

Nagito shut his eyes until it started to hurt, relaxing into the touch he soon felt cold when the sensation disappeared.

"I see you still have the flower I gave you."

"Oh yes! I wouldn't dare take it off, it's rather precious to me since I never had a gift for years. Let alone getting it from you."

Izuru felt a ping on his chest, an unfamiliar sharp feeling. It, confused him. A feeling he lost after the project but now he's unexpectedly feeling it?

Brushing it off he listened to Nagito's rambling, how thankful he was for the gift and how he can ever repay him. Listening from hundreds of dollars and even his own life. A stretch for sure but it still bored Izuru, at least that was what he thought.

Without much think he reached out from behind and clinged onto Nagito's hand, instantly making him shut up. At first the white haired male apologized for rambling, not realizing it was for a complete different reasoning.

"Hm, would you say we grew closer?"

"What makes you think that?"

"It's Day 3, 4 more days left. For me, definitely. I will miss you, even when we spent together for a short period of time. So how about you?"

"I don't have an answer to that question, though isn't it too early to decide that?"

"I guess it's just me, I grow too attached to anyone who gives me some sort of empathy I suppose."

"Seems unfortunate."

"I guess so."

Izuru kept silent, rethinking the question Nagito asked he felt as though he does have an answer, he longed had.

What's stopping me?

Nagito still felt Izuru's hand on top of his made him feel warm again, a pleasant feeling he desired. And now he got it, though he'll only have 4 days until that feeling will disappear.

Forever.

"Are you really willing to leave this place, where you feel safe just to see my face?"

"Well, not just your face."

"Than what else?"

"Your whole presence, I never felt really safe. I only did when you came along, when you first held my hand I realize you were my safe place. Though of course you don't feel that way."

Nagito giggled at the thought of it, the cold sad truth. The truth where he was nothing to Izuru, so he kept that in mind. To never get too attached. It'll only hurt more when it's gone, Nagito had to find that out the hard way.

Izuru of course knew that, how lowly the white haired male thought about himself. He felt, what's the word.

Sympathy for Nagito, it was rather unfamiliar.

What is happening to you? Do you even now what that word is? You're insensitive, remember that.

"Hey, Izuru."

Snapping back into reality once more he found himself wondering why he keeps zoning out. Izuru only really does that when the coast is clear and safe, where he is protected at his most vulnerable state.

"Hey Izuru?"

His mind became much more slower, he finds himself becoming tired. And soon, his vision became blank amd soon black. Izuru felt his cautiousness dissolving.

---

Nagito found himself confused, until he heard soft snores coming from behind him. Instantly getting a good idea of what has happened.

"So he really fell asleep like that? I don't blame him, it...is, calming enough to sleep--"

Nagito didn't have the chance to finish his sentence until he too felt drowse and soon completely. A yawn escape when both Izuru and Nagito fell asleep under the Sakura tree at opposite sides.

Time Skip

Izuru waited, it's been about 30 minutes since he last spelt. Nagito was still asleep, he couldn't lie when he was tempted to play with the unlucky guy's hair.

Instantly coming back to his senses he smothered that thought, Izuru knew he's letting his guard down. Strange but fascinating how easily it became to relax, was it the Sakura Tree?

No, before that even you just sat under it still being aware of your surrounding.

Before Izuru even had time to realize he knew what was the cause, Nagito. How could a boring, pathetic guy leave such an impact and not even know what he caused.

Thoughts running through his head Izuru only came back into pitiful reality once he felt something brush his hand. Nagito still opposite side but he knew he was smiling brightly.

"What did you dream about?"

"Gore, blood, tears and of course her of all people."

"Who's 'her'? She seems like a bad person."

"She is but I would sound like a hypocrite."

"Hm?"

"Nothing, leave it as it is."

"But now you made me all curious! Could you give me a hint? I might know she is if you tell me!"

"Not like I wanted you to know her, let's just say she's related to despair itself."

"Oh, well that's not good. Hope always is infront of despair in any case or situation."

"Right."

Izuru only knew what Nagito didn't, not like he wanted to reveal it anyway. Though the way he said "hope" made Izuru think curiously. The way he spoke says malice. Malice at it's purest form.

It sounded like he was disgusted at the word despair but loved and cherished hope.

Something is wrong with him, he has this innocent facade.

None the less Izuru was fully intrigued, at first he though this would just be a waste of an week. Though this made things much more interesting.

Maybe I'll stick around after all. But for what? Just to know who Nagito really is?

...

No that's not it...
