The next day was the day. They were ready to save his parents.
Ezra and the rest of the crew woke up. Ezra walked into the common room and everything went silent. "Hi." He said, noticing that all eyes were on him.
"Ezra you should spend the day with Akili today." Sabine offered.
"I was going to-- Unless we have training." He said turning to Kanan.
"You can, We have to run into the market." Kanan nodded.
"All of you?" Ezra asked, surprised.
"Oh, No. Just me and Hera, Sabine and Zeb are...going to..."
"To take the Phantom out for a test drive." Sabine finished.
"Oh, Okay." Ezra said, still not fully believing them.
"Well, Better get going! Can't keep her waiting." Sabine encouraged.
"I will." He agreed, walking out. But as soon as he was out his ear was against the door.
"Maybe we shouldn't." Hera said. "He doesn't want us to.'
"Sure he does, If they aren't alive we just simply pretend like this mission never happened." Kanan's voice said.
Ezra knew. He was frusterated, he wanted to march in there and tell them not to go but if he was being honest to himself, he wanted them back. Ezra jumped when Akili came up from behind. "You scared me.'
Akili looked shy. "Sorry, What are you doing?"
"Just standing here--"
"Listening on there conversation."They both started to walk. "So, What did you here?"
"They. . . Are going on a mission. . ."
"Without you? Spill."
"It's true, a rescue mission."
Then Akilis face lit up with worry. "Who?"
"My parents." Ezra shrugged.
"And your not helping?"
"I didn't tell them to, I didn't want them to." He explained. "Let's just go around town for a little while."

A few hours later, Ezra and Akili returned. They walked into the Ghost. "Hi." Ezra said, trying not to look to hopeful.
They looked sad...what happen?
"Ezra, You should get to bed, I bet it's been...a long day for you." Akili said, assuming what happen.
"Yeah...' Ezra said, his voice cracked a bit and he nodded. Akili took his hand in hers and looked concerned. She kissed him goodbye and Ezra and her wrapped their arms around eachother.
"Goodnight..." She whispered in his ear before he left into the room that him and zeb shared.
Akili looked at the crew. "This isn't your last attempt, is it?"
"How did you know about the misson?" Sabine asked, auprise.
"Ezra knows, he told me earlier today."
"Well we are definitely trying again." Hera said nodding.
"You mean they arent...dead?' Akili asked, looking at them.
"We don't know..." Sabine explained. "The thing is...we didn't see them."
"Poor Ezra." Akili sighed. "I hope he's not too upset."Ezra was in his bedroom. He was sitting on his top bunk. I can't believe it. He repeated in his head.
He wanted to shout, he wanted to scream. But he didn't yell. He clenched his fist angrily.
Zeb came to bed. "Oi, You knew 'bout today, eh, kid?"
Ezra frowned slightly. "The test drive?" He lied as he laid down.
Zeb probably knew he was lying because he would've asked questions if he really was telling the truth.
Ezra thought he would never fall asleep. He had too much on his mind. He thought about Jedi training, that made him more anxious than he already was. He thought about his parents, which made him upset. He thought about Akili and finally his mind was at ease. He was able to just relax and think about her to fall asleep.
