Ezra woke up, laughing. His laughter died when he realized that it wasn't a dream.
He got up and got dressed. When he walked outside, he decided to see Kanan. He walked outside to Kanan meditating.
"Kanan?"
"Hm?" He asked pausing and looking at him. His smile was a little too kind, and started to creep Ezra out.
Ezra started to say something about his parents but said something else: "What are we doing today?"
Kanan sighed. "Hera thought it'd be a good idea to hold a funeral for her. That is if you think so."
"She would want that." Ezra agreed, sitting. "I already asumed she was dead, but now I know, it hurts worst. Why is that?"
Kanan sat beside him. "I don't know. But I can tell you what I do know. It doesn't go away, the hurt, It just hurts less."
Ezra was silent for a second. "I...I don't feel sad, I feel...angry. What if there's something...wrong? With me? Maybe...I'm not supposed to be a Jedi, I'm supposed to be with my father, Like a normal family..."
"Ezra, You aren't a bad person You're a good person that bed things have happen to." Kanan said, sternly but calmly.
Ezra smiled weakly at him. But then something came over him, an empty feeling. He nodded and stood and left Kanan sitting there. He thought Kanan knew where he was going, he was heading towards the caves that Akili lived in.
He met up with Akili and told her what happened. Akili suggested they go rock climbing to get their mind of things.
They got to the top of a big rock. Ezra saw Kanan still sitting where he had left him.
Ezra took a hold of her hand and held it.
Akili laid her head on his shoulder. "I know how you feel about your father, I feel the same way about mine."
"How?"
"Betrayed, hurt, confused. Unloved. But we have each other now. We don't have to feel unloved."
This made Ezra smile. He looked at the sun that was rising. He was happy to share this moment with the two people he needed, the two people he loved. Kanan and Akili.
He sighed and let her lean on his shoulder and kissed her cheek. He felt comforted when she was there.

They stayed in the beautiful silence for a while, enjoying it.
After that they went to the ship.
"What are we doing for training today?" Ezra asked, biting an apple.
"You want to train today?" Kanan said, surprised.
"Well why not?"
"Okay, I guess we can contine to practice resistance to mind control."
"Thats fine, can we meet outside in five minutes?"
"Sounds good." Kanan nodded.
"Akili, do you want to some with me to buy new paint?" Sabine asked.
"Sure." Akili said, shrugging. "Have fun training." She said, blowing Ezra a kiss.
"Have fun at the market." Ezra laughed as he pretend caught it. "I'll keep it as a spare. Just in case."
Kanan and Ezra went outside to start training and Akili and Sabine went into the city.
"So, Where exactly do you buy paint?" Akili asked, looking around.
"Nobody knows about it, It's a secret shop. Against the empire."
"There's a rebel paint shop?"
"No, They sell everything. Only true rebels can get in."
"Like you." Akili said, nodding.
"This way." Sabine said, quietly. Then she looked around and went into an abandon building.
There was one worker, his name tag read 'Ace'.
"Hey, Ace. This is Akili. She's a rebel, don't get your horns in a twist."
Ace, Akili noticed, was Devaronian. Devaronian was a speices that had thick pointy horns.
"Oh really?" Ace's gruffy, but charming, voice said. "A pretty daisy like you? A rebel? You look like you would hurt a fly."
Oh how badly Akili wants to give this man a black eye! But she stayed calm. "You want me to prove it, Horns?" Or as calm as she gets.
"There is no need for you to embarrass yourself.'
And with that Akili punched him right on the nose. This led to something surprising. This led to a great deal respect from Ace.
Ace smiled at her then Sabine. "3 gallons of paint. On the house."
"Sweet!" Sabine said, taking her free buckets.
"And hopefully we can meet again." Ace said, smirking.
Akili gulped. "Sure, whatever."
Sabine stood wide eyed. "Let's go." She said, grabbing her arm.
When they were outside, Akili started asking questions. "Why are you in a rush?"
"Because, he was hitting on you!"
"He was?" Akili asked, embarrassed.
"I won't tell Ezra." Sabine said, putting a finger to her lips.
"Won't tell me what?"
Akili and Sabine didn't notice that they were already at the ship.
"Didn't you hear me, Ezra? I won't tell you."
Akili blushed. "Where's Kanan?"
"He's mad because I'm not focused or whatever."
"I have an idea!" Akili said, brightly.
