Chapter 4! Sorry it's so short, I just HAD to get SOMETHING up (:
**********
The days seemed to fly by after the eventful Saturday night and Sunday morning. My homework had been completed. My ballet had been practiced -over and over and over again-. And my Grandmother had been taken care of. My week was the same, boring, uneventful one it had always been.
Two things kept replaying through my mind throughout the week; My almost kiss with the so-called "love of my life" and my date with Sam Chambers.
After I had escaped that heated scene on Saturday night, I headed home where I threw on a pair of pajamas and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. When I woke up in the morning, It was like it was all a dream except for the still tingling places on my body where he had touched me.
After I was done being mezmorized by the feeling of my skin, I took a shower and got dressed into a white lace dress -slightly fitted-, my brown folded down combat boots and my brown leather jacket. I braided my hair down my back as my mother had always done and then headed downstairs to see Gran with a plate full of pancakes and a carton of orange juice waiting on the table.
Gran had been more than okay, exstatic actually, when I asked her if it was okay if Sam came.
She had known about me and Ethan being mates but nothing more and nothing less. Her wise eyes and supreme knowledge seemed to talk me into giving Ethan a chance in the future, but for now, being "totally obsessed with this Sam boy" -her words exactly-.
I had loaded Gran into the car after brushing my teeth and throwing on a thin coat of mascara. The car ride there was not the slightest bit awkward. Gran and Sam talked as if they had been best friends for years, when they had really only met 5 minutes ago.
When we got to church, we sat on the right of the third bench and said our "hello's" to the members of the choir and the priest. After the service, we went shopping and ate lunch. Then, I dropped Gran off at the house and Sam and I took a trip down to the beach.
"I just want to go ahead and apologise now for anything that Gran did or will do in the future." I sent him a quick smile.
"Your Gran is an amazing person, you know." He said, while lacing his fingers through mine as we headed down to the beach after throwing our shoes in the car.
"I do." I smiled, "So, how come you wanted to come to church with us this morning?"
"Well, I used to go with my parents until my dad's mom died of breast cancer and then we stopped." I looked down at the ground while he was talking and watched as our feet left inprints in the soft, wet sand.
"Well, thank you for coming. I could tell that you and Gran really had fun."
He laughed, "Are you saying that you didn't have fun?"
I stayed quiet for a minute and pretended to be pondering my answer, "Nooooo."
I laughed at the shocked expression on his face as he pulled me into him and slyly threw me over his shoulder and headed for the water. I started to scream as I watched the water appear closer and deeper with every step he took.
"So, umm, what were you saying?" He asked.
"That I had so much fun and that you are amazing and my grandma loves you." I screamed as he started to lead me back to shore. I let out a deep, noticable sigh as he lowered me back onto the soft ground.
I looked up at him as the sun shone over his shoulders and I immediatly felt as if I was in a movie. I knew in my heart that I would never feel the same connection with Sam that I had with Ethan, but I really, REALLY wished I did.
"That's better." Sam said, looking down at me and engulfing my hand in his once more. I couldn't help but smile up at my knight in shining armour as he swung our hands back and forth and continued to talk about his family and how much he loved them but how each and every one of them had their faults.

After we had walked on the beach for over an hour talking about everything imaginable, we headed back to the house.
"We're home!" I shouted as we walked through the door. Sam and I headed into the kitchen and he plopped down on a chair like he had been in the house a million and one times. He seemed so comfortable and at home over here and that was something that I really liked about him.
"Dinner will be ready in about and hour." Gran spoke.
"Is Jakob comming for dinner?"
"Not tonight." She looked over at Sam before continueing, "Luckily. Otherwise you would have to sit through an entire dinner of glares and harshly spoken comments about hurting our little girl."
Gran kissed my cheek as a steady blush rose to my cheeks. Sam got up out of his chair and walked over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I would never think of it." He said, while softly kissing my cheek as Gran had done seconds before. I looked over just in time to see a small smile flash across her face.
"Now get lost you two. I'll call you down when dinner is ready." We both fumbled upstairs and into my room.
"Now where were we?" Sam asked before coming over to me, gently pushing me against the wall and passionately kissing my lips.
