Hyrule, a country that was home to many, Hylians, Rito, Gorons, Zora and Gerudo people. The central plains holding the title for the most different ethnicities in one place, a title it would continue to hold for millennia to come. The central plains also being where the biggest city in all of Hyrule resided and named after the country itself - Hyrule Castle. Once a relatively small town that, over the years grew into a prosperous city that many came to know and love.
Link, a Hylian man, fairly short, sunkissed pale skin with blonde hair pulled into a ponytail with his face being framed by his hair. Wearing a light blue hoodie with rupees on the sleeves, ripped jeans and blue sneakers with a rupee design on. He yawned, holding onto a coffee coloured satchel with rupee pins, as he walked towards a large set of building that marked the centre of the city.
Hyrules' pride and joy, one of the few places to go where a large majority of different ethnicities attend, ironically named Hyrule Castle College, despite having no castle-like structure and instead of being multiple buildings on a massive plot of land with masses of greenery, a personal library and even secret areas that not many students seemed to know. The name always made Link chuckle to himself inwardly.
Link majored in law and finance for a year to get his family off his ass, though after that year he instantly dropped it and started to major in ancient technology. Hyrule Castle College wasn't like most colleges. If you went to a Rito college you'd be limited to majors like archery, piloting and a few others. A Gerudo college would major in, well Link wouldn't know, Gerudo colleges are female only. That didn't matter though, he attended a prestigious college that most would sell their liver to attend, so he couldn't really afford to complain.
Yawning again, he reached the building he went to every day, the technology building. Stuffing his hands in his hoodie pockets he pulled out his student ID, scanning it on a plaque with an eye and watching the door open. Stepping into the building he was caught off guard. Usually, the bottom floor was fairly empty, it had a few small snack tables to buy from, shelves with recently found ancient tech, the reception desk in the middle and chairs with inside plant decor. What he didn't expect, was a man with a young lady and some Hyliens who looked like bodyguards in tuxedos.
Cocking a brow up, he moved towards one of the snack tables, the guy who worked there went by Beedle at a snack table, called Beedles' Snack Bar. The vendor cracked a joke, a classic "We meet again! You gotta be following me!", leading into the casual and usual monotonous conversation they held, which included nothing more and nothing less than a simple "how are you?"
Picking up his usual chocolate cereal bar, Link thought he'd best question the interesting situation before wandering off to his class, "So, Beedle, who are they?"
Beedle was overjoyed with the sale, as usual, happy to answer his loyal and regular customer, "That's Mr Rhoam Bosphoramus and his daughter, Miss Zelda Bosphoramus. They're here for the technology course I believe."
Link almost choked on the cereal bar that he bought, the Bosphoramus family were not only famous, they were the colleges biggest funders and not only that, a big help in the development of this specific department. Their money helped the technology majors see ancient technology from the Sheikah era and attempt to utilise it.
After having Beedle slap his back a few times, Link nodded, thanking Beedle as he went to leave before hearing his voice be called, turning he saw the receptionist, a Hylian with short brown hair, pale skin and hazel eyes. Stopping in his tracks he turned and walked on over, avoiding eye contact with the rich people next to him who could easily get him kicked out at any given moment.
"Mr and Miss Bosphoramus, this is Link, he's been to this college for two years and this is his first year of the technology course we have to offer. I'm sure he'll be a fine fit to help show Miss Bosphoramus around." The receptionist smiled, gesturing to Link and keeping a generally cheerful and calm demeanour.
