They were already back at Minjeong's car, buckling their seat belts on.
"Do I get to know where we're going beforehand this time or am I gonna be kept in the dark again?" Jimin mused.
Minjeong glanced at the older woman who was staring strongly at her with her chin laying prettily on her palm.
"Mmm, I could tell you," Minjeong paused, turning the engine on, "But I kind of don't want to anymore for the sole purpose of you really wanting to know."
"Hey, unfair much?" Minjeong chuckled at the pouty frown on Jimin's face.
The short-haired girl smiled ignoring her whiny companion beside her and continued to drive to their next destination. She glanced at the girl every now and then to see her with the same expression on and her arms crossed.
"If you keep frowning, it'll taint your beauty and you'll be stuck looking like a grumpy lady your whole life." The younger girl commented.
Jimin would've whined again but instead, she ignored what the girl said and only listened to what she wanted to hear.
"Oh, taint my beauty you say? So you think I'm beautiful." A sly smile crept up Jimin's face.
This time it was Minjeong's turn to get flustered. With slight blushes of pink rising to her pale cheeks she chose to ignore the girl and instead give her a rough cough.
"Mmhm, exactly Kim Minjeong. That's what I thought." Jimin shook her head at how easy it was to win against the short-haired girl.
In minute's time, the two finally pulled up to a small parking lot surrounded by various small stores. Minjeong got out of the car while Jimin took a moment to look around them. Nothing in particular stood out from the stores so her curiosity piqued.
"Come on slowpoke, are you gonna get out of the car or what?" Minjeong said, opening the door for the older girl once more.
"You know, I would be sketched out right now but after what the sketchy parking lot led to last time, I'm only a tiny bit worried now."
"I'm not gonna kill you yet Jimin, now hurry up." Minjeong groaned, pulling on the older girl's wrist.
"Wait, yet??" Jimin panicked while Minjeong could only laugh.
The younger girl dragged the other away from the parking lot and down the street for a couple of minutes until they reached an alleyway. Jimin was seriously starting to wonder what was up with Minjeong and alleyways.
They walked down the narrow path until they reached a staircase. Minjeong led Jimin carefully through the steel steps and then finally they reached the somewhat rundown door.
"Okay, first things first, I wasn't exactly sure if you were gonna like this but it's not all that bad alright. I mean, I thought it was cool." Minjeong warned, tightening her hold on Jimin's wrist without even realizing it.
Jimin noticed the shy girl and fought off a small smile before nodding at the other. Minjeong took a deep breath before opening the door.
"Welcome to Destination Two of the hidden gems of LA." Minjeong introduced with a grin, "Cafe Rythem&Blues."
The old peachy-looking door was a ruse to hide what really lay behind that door. The smell of sweet caramel hit them through a gush of cold wind. As soon as you step in it's like you've entered a movie site. Whitney Huston's godly vocals blessing their ears.
A modern beige and brown-themed cafe yet there was something there that just made it more 90s feel. The small cafe made it pretty cozy along with the small windows at the top providing sunlight to creep in. A tall white man in a neat polo and apron was wiping cups when he smiled and welcomed them in.
