Your form stood in front of the door to Luna Nova's potions class, standing there in confusion as strange muffled sounds came out of the closed door. Just as you were about to open it a coughing professor Lukić opened it first, a cloud of smoke following her as she took notice of you. "Ah, impeccable timing." She continued her coughing.
"Impeccable timing? Because I am supposed to do my potions exam retake alongside red team?" Professor Lukić's coughing stopped again, her creepy eyes frozen on you until she smiled. "Oh right! You're the sole student in the whole of Luna Nova that doesn't belong to any team!" You tried to hold your glare back with a fake smile, playing with your custom sash as you were reminded of the fact that you were an uneven number when it came to Luna Nova's three-person team structure. "That's me..."
"I'm afraid that won't be possible." You widened your eyes at Professor Lukić's deadpan sentence. "W-What? Why?"
"We have a little...complication." Professor Lukić took a step back from the door as the dust cloud faded away, allowing you to see the combined members of red, green, and blue team in the room as...children.
They were dressed in a grade-school variant of the Luna Nova uniforms as they either chatted with each other or gleefully played with some not-so-safe objects around the classroom that made you concerned for their safety. "H-How is this possible?" You asked, Professor Lukić scratched her head before explaining.
"Minutes before you arrived and just as I was about to enter the classroom I heard a scuffle interrupt between miss Kagari and England despite both green and blue team claiming they came to say good luck to red team before their retake would start..." Professor Lukić stayed silent. "...scratch that, it was only miss Cavendish that showed support with miss England and Parker tagging along for no reason in particular while green team was quote-unquote "chilling"."
You let out an awkward chuckle. "And that scuffle involved Hannah making fun of Akko's lack of magic talent that resulted in her messing up a spell or potion she cast on the fly to prove her wrong?" Professor Lukić smiled and snapped her fingers before frowning. "That reminds me...weren't you supposed to be in this class way earlier?" Professor Lukić eyed you suspiciously as you let out a nervous laugh and tried to explain yourself, not trying to spill you overslept. "I was doing some last-minute studying?"
She sighed "I suppose it doesn't matter now, means you can start taking care of them." Said professor Lukić as she started to take her leave. "W-Wait? Taking care of them?!" You yelled in complete shock as professor Lukić continued to walk away calmly. "I hate brats unless they're boiled and stewed. Don't worry I've done some experiments and found out the spell should wear off after 12 hours or less."
After hearing the words "experiments" you worryingly peeked back into the classroom to see if the child versions of your former friends were ok beyond being children. With nothing looking out of the ordinary you tried to go back to reasoning with professor Lukić...only for her to have completely disappeared and abandoned you.
"What Am I going to do..." You whimpered as you sulked at the door to the child-infested room, the tugging of your clothes making you stop and curiously look at who was trying to get your attention. "Akko?" You said as you noticed a short quiet brunette continue her tugging while she looked up at you with big adorable eyes.
"This Luna Nova?" She timidly asked, a small gentle smile formed on your face. "It sure is!" Perhaps things wouldn't be so hard if everyone was as nice and quiet as Akko apparently was in her youth, you thought, also noticing the mental change all of them must have gotten when a shrill scream burst your thoughts like bubbles and made you jump up in surprise.
"OH MY GOSH! I'M BY LUNA NOVA! SCHOOL WHERE SHINY CHARIOT STUDY, IT BEEN MY DREAM TO COME HERE!" The little Akko yelled in broken English as she began to ran through the room like an excited puppy making most of the other kids stop their playing and look either scared or angry at her, you tried to catch her as she continued running around the room. "H-Hey calm down Akko! I know this all must be very exciting but-"
